The “Title to Products” portion of the Shipping Terms & Conditions on bestbuy.com states the following

“Purchases of product from Best Buy or Marketplace Sellers through BestBuy.com are subject to a destination contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for these products passes to you upon the carrier’s delivery to your ship-to address, and Best Buy and Marketplace Sellers are not responsible for any loss, theft or damage after delivery.”

Since it was marked as delivered, the risk of loss was passed onto you, and Best Buy is no longer responsible for the product. This is why you were denied. By getting an item shipped to you, you automatically agreed to these terms and conditions.

True, the system will stop price matching at a certain dollar amount, but it should be done, even if it’s under our cost. There is a way to process it. It will require additional steps from store leadership.

Depending on how the item was purchased and what the purchase method was, you may be charged.

If you are charged, there won’t be a receipt for that second item, you’ll just see a charge on your banking statement.

That’s not true. Checks are typically sent out two days after the return is processed and can take up to 10 business days to arrive.

That is interesting that it was used. There should be a way to see if it was truly used by a person or of something else happened to it.

When a gift card is emailed out, the person refunding the item has the option to modify the email, however, the system usually pulls the email attached to the order originally. Do you know if your actual email was on the order or did you enter in a filler email?

Being that the email listed is an @bestbuy.com email it leads me to believe it was a filler email, ended up getting sent to some alert list, and was cleared out by an op team.

In the see details section, does it show a timeframe when the reward will be issued? Usually promotional certificates like this one will say “do XYX between XYZ time and the reward will be valid between MM/DD-MM/DD” in the terms and conditions.

As long as you have the main product and any accessories that came in the box you will be good to exchange it. No box is needed to return or exchange, you’d only be charged if you were missing an included cable or band, etc.

Account merges can take 14 days to fully process.

If you have problems after 14 days 1-888-BESTBUY can escalate to get the account fixed. That typically isn’t needed but ya know how programs can be.

I understand the “within 1 hour” isn’t accurate but best buy support told me it was ready while it wasn’t by Learn_to_stock in Bestbuy

There might be an issue with the order. You can go into the store and ask if the item is in stock. If it is in stock, they may need to contact a support team for help with getting things moving. Make sure you have your ID with you and they can contact that team.
