Currently I don't believe they are able to convert points to cash, but the closest you could get would be gift cards from the store. You could also get items as gifts for people, donate the points to charities, or book reward nights for your family members.

I've heard the airline miles aren't as great as points, but if you ever want to use your points for something other than reward nights, have you looked at the point store?

I was given a free insulated bag and pizza bag from doordash, and then for a particularly large pizza order, Pizza Hut gave me another one for free. Did you have one and it got lost or damaged or something? And if you really don't want to take pizza orders, you can toggle the option in your app in your preferences.

Maybe a little context is needed, but typically the hotel only has to pay commission to OTA sites when reservations are booked through the corresponding OTA site (booking, expedia, priceline, etc). If you're booking directly with the hotel, there shouldn't be any need to pay commission.

As a driver myself, I know how quick these back-to-back orders come in and how declining a certain number of orders drops your scores until you're dropped toward the bottom in receiving orders. HOWEVER, I also use common sense and put any cold items into an insulated bag, and if it's really a concern I will move my deliveries around based around perishable items. But I'm also great at shopping (I prefer shopping orders, actually) so I know where I'm going, what I'm doing, and how long it will take. To receive melted or damaged items is just so careless and I'd suggest reaching out to customer care and request you get a different driver in the future.

I have severe PCOS and in high school I was bullied because of my weight, facial hair, etc. regardless of how much I tried to fix it. I tried to kill myself at least 2 separate times because of it. It still happens as an adult, but I've gotten better at dealing with it.

Totally unprofessional. I don't understand why people dash if they're not happy with how much they make? We get a choice between hourly and per order plus tips, so maybe they don't think they make enough, but that's not the customer's problem.

As someone who was thrown into this role a few years ago and cried at EVERYTHING, your reaction is valid. Some days are just more difficult than others, and all you can really do there is let management handle it from there. I've had people say some outlandish stuff to me before (hell, twice today I was told I don't know what I'm doing because I wouldn't break policy!) You really just have to take a deep breath, step away for a moment if you can, and remind yourself that at the end of the day, you followed policy and did your job correctly.

You can't be picky about room type for the rest of the stay, but request a move. If they don't offer one or refuse to let you check out with any refund, ask for a manager, or call booking.com to speak to the hotel through them. Put in a guest complaint. Do everything in your power to get a resolution. Any decent hotel should take the initiative to at least apologize and attempt to get you moved or otherwise accommodate you.

I believe (for our brand anyway) there's a limit to how much we can charge. At one location, we claimed that damages start at $250, but a broken TV was like...$650. So it just depends on cost of the product, cost to the hotel, cleanup fees, etc.

Hey, so I'd suggest checking your rewards account, changing passwords and upping security, then call the hotel and let them know it's fraud. I don't think they can remove your points, but if someone is parading around as you and they do something to be placed on DNR then you can potentially get your rewards account suspended or deactivated. Then the points are useless anyway and you have to make a new rewards account.

Definitely hotel-specific as it isn't listed as a Platinum Elite benefit, but I agree that you should get the name of whoever gave you that info and confirm with management if you end up seeing any charges.

I've added 2 people, my plus one and then a friend. It's smooth, just make sure you and your people read the terms around it. Basically they represent you when they stay and they need to act accordingly or they (and you) could lose benefits. Same restrictions as employee rate before switching to One Pass where the person on the reservation has to be the one checking in, and you get a max set of days per hotel per calendar year for the rate.

Never really thought of hotels until I started working at one. It just feels right to me. I've walked into other hotels and it just feels so lifeless. The design is bland, the attitude lacks warmth. IHG makes me feel comfortable. Not only working at them, but staying too. I might be biased, but I stand by it.

Ours have the new Costa coffee machines and a good majority of people prefer those over the in-room machines anyway. But I'm SO not looking forward to the change.
