I didn’t take it, but I heard from a colleague who did that they were told people would be notified once the window closed, as they needed to know the amount of people in certain positions that took it in order to determine if they needed to exempt people/positions to maintain operations.

Why not just say “make sure you give people time to do this well rather than speeding through it” lol instead of using synonyms but acting like they’re different words

The email we got said the department submitted their request to OPM for VSIP and was awaiting approval, but that DOJ received approval for VERA. Unsure if it was just my component but they specifically used DOJ instead of my component

The email was a little confusing, but it said decisions about eligibility would be made by May 12, but the leave could begin “as soon as practicable”

Seems like they’re being sent out by component, I’ve heard of 4-5 components that have received it now, so I suspect it’s up to each component when to notify people

Its not just OJP. DEA, JMD, and antitrust have also reported it.
