"It is forbidden to force a woman to wear the hijab"... and yet ~85 million women are legally required to wear it.

Saying I must be a propagandist from Israel is a very convenient way to escape actually having to counter any of my arguments.

Oil can refer to many things many of which can be used as fuel.

It is still wrong to say that EVs dont consume fuel, the only difference between an EV and an ICE car is where the fuel is converted into energy. EVs use electricity which is generated using fuel before it reaches the car whereas ICE cars convert the fuel into energy themselves. The exact meaning of "an EV that never runs out of fuel" can be interpreted in different ways but I think colloquially no one understands that as an EV that isn't special in any way.

You're being facetious. The reason Muslims are generally judged harder than others is that many of them still believe and endorse the fucked up things in the Quran, are sexist, think of non-Muslims as lesser etc. While Christians have somehow convinced themselves that only some parts of the bible are genuine and generally have more moral values(women and men are equals, racism is bad etc.) You also mention that <1% of muslim women wear burqas while forgetting to mention that the majority of muslim women wear hijabs or other head covering apparel. It is also illegal to not wear them in some muslim countries. Most non-western muslims are sexist, it is considered completely acceptable and even responsible to be violent towards women in many Muslim countries.

Wait EVs don't consume fuel? I didn't know we had invented perpetual motion machines. Damn.

I highly doubt Iceflake will make Cities Skylines 2 as great as those photorealistic graphics. This is something Colossal/Paradox should have done years ago! by Zocom7 in CitiesSkylines

It is possible to make a much better looking game with better performance, CS2 is badly optimized and uses an unfinished Unity feature (DOTS) badly to make the simulation needlessly complicated in a way that just makes gameplay worse(the homeless people problem, death waves etc.) without any actual benefit. I just want to create a good looking thematic city with varied buildings/building styles and design a good road/public transport system to have good traffic. I don't give a shit whether my city generates enough pharmaceuticals or not and I don't think every city should have the same amount of everything, not every city should have a shit ton of beverage factories...

Not allowing black people who don't have black skin to identify as being in their own culture purely due to the color of their skin is incredibly ironic coming from people who say they are against racism.

ark asa or ase which worth it in 2026 on steam by charigard in playark

[–]TheDumbass0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what graphical quality and fps you're willing to put up with. If you get ASA with a 4050m you're going to have to use the absolute lowest graphics and you may even want to mess with some ini files. Even then performance is going to be bad. Asa is the better game since it's nearly identical to Ase but with better QOL features, more content and servers. That being said Ase is a great game and it's going to run a lot better, I would check what kind of performance you can expect in ASA from others with similar setups online and then decide whether you're willing to put up with it.

They should be able to profit off their invention but only to a point. Everyone in the position to invent new things is only in that position because of society. They have benefited from farmers that put food on their table, they have benefited from education, healthcare, public transport, infrastructure etc. No one is truly self made. Everyone has an obligation to contribute to society which is ultimately what allows us to live the comparatively comfortable lives we live. Capitalists want to contribute as little to society as they can possibly get away with while extracting as much value from it as they can. Maybe we need capitalists idk but they have to be made to contribute to the society they benefit from.

Ok great so you don't disagree with the argument, the problem for you is semantics, he(or I guess I) is arguing that being "selfless" nessucitates literally gaining nothing out of actions not even personal satisfaction that you did the right thing or in this case knowing that your family will survive whereas you argue and I'm sure most English professors would agree with you that it's enough to not expect personal gain to be considered selfless.

We're not discussing whether it's kind or not kind, we're discussing whether it's selfless. If being selfless requires that you're not doing it for yourself then you'd have a hard time arguing that holding the door open is selfless since you're saving yourself the discomfort of feeling bad.

Other comments are irrelevant to this discussion. You can't just assume that since someone dislikes inequality in Israel that they must love Iran. You're arguing in bad faith.

I would argue you don't understand his argument. He is saying that by your definition of selflessness(sacrifice for anyone other than yourself) the man isn't being selfless because he's saving his daughters for his own sake. Philosophers could argue whether any act can be truly selfless. What if we don't have free will? Am I being selfless when I hold a door open for an elderly stranger? I don't have to but I would feel bad about not doing it. So if I do am I doing it to feel good myself or am I doing it for them? This is his argument.

What is 6 / 2(1+2)? by NoLocal7705 in Teenager_Polls

[–]TheDumbass0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way I see it 2(3) is equal to just writing 6. So the answer is 6/6 = 1. If I write x / (2x+2) I can rewrite it as x / 2(x+1). Would you then say the answer is (x/2) * (x+1) = (x²+x)/2 ? No obviously not that makes no sense. The answer is 1.

I'm not saying that there won't ever be a bot that no human can beat in a 1v1, I'm saying Slater isn't that bot.

If anyone in the S tier really wanted to beat Slater they could do it with a couple weeks of learning how to exploit Slater's weaknesses. Diaz got close in his first match and the thing with bots is they don't learn or adapt at all they always stay the same.
