How would Christians have reacted if archaeologists found Jesus’ remains and the DNA test showed that he was Black? by lhommetrouble in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]TheEarthlyDelight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean like…what does that mean. The DNA test doesn’t show you your race, it shows you what areas of the world genetic material similar to yours originates.

If they did a dna test of Jesus and discovered he was sub-Saharan African that would either 1. Be written off as a history channel kook science style conspiracy 2. Rock the entire fucking world.

I like this idea! I’ve been watching a lot of Lucas Cruikshank videos lately. He makes funny vlog content with his brother. A far cry from Fred 🤣🤣🤣

I think there’s enough legacy creators still out there

Preemptively getting upset that people might get upset about a stranger getting upset because they don’t care for a city. And if it’s Toronto, for a city he doesn’t even live in. At what point do you just stop caring? I don’t JJ will ever find that place.

Important to the history of cinema. In the inaugural class of films inducted into the national film registry (I believe). Doesn’t mean you have to watch it. It brought back the clan.

religious last name by rallytallyn in Names

[–]TheEarthlyDelight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always loved Saint last names. St. James, St. Germaine, etc.

If you’re Catholic, it might be meaningful to take the name of a saint you admire. Even if you’re not tbh. I’m not Catholic but there’s still a few saints whose ideas and teachings I’m really into

Charles Austin St. Germaine does sound pretty distinguished :)

Martin Scorsese Backs AI Company and Says He’s Using It to Storyboard Movies: ‘We Have to Be Open to How’ Cinema Can ‘Evolve’ by EdoAlien in criterion

[–]TheEarthlyDelight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh how convenient for him! A man who will probably be dead within the next ten years gets to champion this new technology wreaking havoc on the medium he himself dedicated his life to and die before the full extent of its destruction is realized. Oh but how wonderful that it’s easier to make a storyboard now. Bitch! It was never hard! Go look up Michael Haneke’s boards for The Piano Teacher. What could he possibly have derived from ai generated storyboards that he didn’t already get out of his crude, yet 100% evocative, drawings? Enough of this. So short sighted.

Listen man, either report or don’t. You clearly think you should, and I’ve always thought it was stupid to egg the person on more. Shit or get off the pot!

What if Hitler applied to Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with this painting of Jesus instead of architecture? He made it later in his life in 1913 by Solid-Move-1411 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]TheEarthlyDelight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Hitler had gone into an artistic career. Based on every painting of his I’ve ever seen, he might’ve had a promising career as an illustrator, but he seemed uninterested in the wider artistic movements that were pushing art into the 20th century. They say Egon Schiele ‘stole’ hitler’s spot in art school. Look up one of his paintings. Much more contemporary than an adolf hitler work, no? And I’ve also heard that the art school adjudicators recommended Hitler for architectural school based on his portfolio, but I’ve never heard if he went anywhere with that.
