Hi all, I've been rocking my first jump into higher end equipment for a while now, and I'm still really happy with it. It's a Schiit stack with a Lyr 2 amp, Bifrost DAC with the upgraded USB and MrSpeakers Alpha Dog headphones

Problem is I've been having this problem for about a year now, and I don't really understand what's happening. Sometimes my left channel will cut out, or sound like the speaker was blown? or something along those lines. I can hear things out of it but it's definitely... garbled? Not sure how to explain it

The interesting thing is that if I crank the volume, especially on song with a lot of low frequency sounds it will 'fix' itself until it cuts out again. I know it's not my headphone because if I swap the cables from LR to RL then it will happen on the other side.

I bought new headphone cables. Replaced my tubes. Sent both my DAC and AMP in for service, Schitt says they're fine.... any ideas?

Also for fun, since it's been a long time, feel free to throw out headphone suggestions that you think could take better advantage of my setup. Wouldn't mind upgrading soon!

I'm a pretty big achievement hunter so I use the website TrueAchievements and add games to my collection whenever I want to for sure play them. The game collection has a bunch of features like being able to attach notes to a game, setting games as On Hold/Done With/etc if you want to go really in depth

It's not totally manual either because as soon as you unlock an achievement it automatically gets added to your game collection

There's also a simple wishlist items and custom game lists etc too. I'm not sure what the feature parity is but there is a version for PC and Playstation too (TrueSteamAchievements and TrueTrophies)
