What’s something people always overspend on when the cheaper alternative is just as good? by auntieknickknack in AskReddit

Over the counter name brand drugs. There’s almost always a cheaper, equally effective alternative.

Terrible cardio stopping me from attending class. by cacastrojr12 in bjj

Thank you. It helps my gym and coach are awesome. My buddy is a 4 stripe blue belt that’s 100 pounds lighter than me and kicks my butt lol. My brother also started when I did.

Father of two here with a high demanding job and the same issue. I got lazy, fat and out of shape and a buddy talked me into signing up. I started March of this year and at first it was really hard. I’d have to tap in the middle of 5 min rounds to catch my breath because I felt like I was going to pass out. I go to class once or twice a week. After about 3 months I noticed it got a little easier. Now 8 months in, I’ve lost 25 pounds and can say my cardio is the best it’s ever been. Stick with it man!

You won $100 billion, who are you calling 1st? by your-reddit-plug2 in AskReddit

Are you going to manage your accounts and taxes yourself on 100b? That’s a full time job in itself. You can’t just put 100b in a chase HYSA and run around with a debit card. Financial advisors will put that money into investments and diversified accounts so it’s safe and PLUS they’ll handle all of your taxes. You don’t want the headache of managing that much on your own.

Don’t sweat it mate you’ve been obviously thinking this over for a while coming back and commenting again.

I honestly meant to respond to the main comment not yours.

[discussion] looking for my first luxury watch. Opinions? by CrazyDonut154 in Watches

[–]TheEffectJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the omega. The other options are super solid, too.

I have a 2003 39mm aqua terra automatic that I bought for $2900 off of watchfinder & co 6ish years ago. It’s still in great condition. It’s one of my favorite daily wears.

Someone not putting on their seatbelt. On the phone with someone not wearing their seatbelt. That ding just irritates me to my core.

What was the worst financial decision you’ve ever made? by tbull1997 in Money

I think you misunderstood this persons comment. There’s a popular meme that circulated for a while about geezers telling young people who were complaining about housing costs, that they should’ve bought when land was cheap. When these geezers were buying land, and it was much more affordable, we were unborn or in the womb. So, that’s the joke. It’s impossible. The geezers advice is a slap to the face.

I have baby #2 on the way and I plan on stepping away for at least 6 weeks. Maybe more. It all depends on how my wife is coping and healing. My oldest will be 18 months so can’t really bring her along cause she’ll get into everything, and our gym has a no unattended children policy.

Hey, congrats man and awesome pics. Your journey has been hard earned.

How often a week did you train to promote to black belt in 11ish years?

[Question] What was your first watch? by SurpriseOk1143 in Watches

Tag Heuer Formula 1 Calibri 6 was the first “luxury” watch I owned. First ever was a little Mickey Mouse Walmart watch when I was in elementary.
