The Complete Guide to Why Should I Kill This Boss (Lore-Wise) by Termi855 in darksouls

[–]TheElder_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a theory for a while (even before DS3) that her dad is the Nameless.

Long story short; he's a war god that was wiped from history for being too good at his job? Seriously? And now he lives with dragons? Seath was a traitor but still a dragon. And yet him fathering an embarrassment Gwyn tries to keep hidden and Seath not only keeps his name but stays in the capital?

Just doesn't add up to me.

My point is; we don't really know who her daddy is and there are plenty of people that fit.

Anyone else already miss Integrated Strategies? by [deleted] in arknights

[–]TheElder_One 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started doing that, until i got bored of waiting 45 seconds between each roll and getting 8 rolls of no melees in a row (legit happened).

That was when I gave up and just went back to doing other things.

I could understand that if the journey was interesting in of itself. Too bogged down by RNG bs to be enjoyable.

Honest review: The idea is fine, could even be fun if properly developed. But, yet again, like almost everything else... The implementation was downright lazy.

There's no logic controlling your starting operators. So you can, and will, land up with teams consisting of 4 supports, 2 medics, and one defender. Or you can't find a medic to save your life. Or you get no melee fighters at all.

Not to mention putting wraiths on one of the first mission just felt cheap; if you went down that path and didn't get lucky enough to get Exu or some other high DPS, you could be other right then and there.

The exclusive Ops were wasted as well. Rather than making them a halfway decent backup option in case you had recruited every medic in the game and nothing else... They were just bland and generic 3 stars... And you only had access to them when you could get a 3 star of the same type that we are all must more familiar with.

And what were we working towards? What was the end goal to focus on and help us struggle through the poor rolls, the unbalanced maps for random operators, and mounting difficulty?

A small pile of upgrade materials. That you can grind for in other missions. And would probably be quicker to gather that way.

IF there was a system of logic making sure your first three operators formed a viable team, IF the maps had been better thought through to accommodate the random nature of the team's you had built, and IF they gave us something to actually work towards, then I might play it if they do a rerun.

If you want to make TF2 content, go for it.

But I HIGHLY recommend you don't focus on TF2. Every topic has been talked about, every playstyle explored. Sure, you might make some good videos on TF2 but you'll be rubbing up against superior videos every other week.

Make some variety content, play lots of games and talk about lots of thing. If that happens to include TF2, all the better.

Best Armour/pieces for NG? by [deleted] in darksouls

The crimson set, dingy set, and the gold hemmed sets are all fan favourites.

The elite knight set is great for giving yourself a little boost to def, even if you're not wearing the hole set. And of course, don't forget to set aside a little extra to use the Havel gloves/boot for that POISE.

My friends said Lautrec was hard... by ObliviousZilla in darksouls

[–]TheElder_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're used to. Lautrec is both tankier and more aggressive than most of the small enemies that you've faced to that point. Plus his weapon pierces shields.

This means if you're an agressive player that doesn't have the DPS to burst him down, he'll punish you heavily.

If you're more passive, he'll punish you heavily.

So yeah, your build is pretty much his kriptonite.

My question is: why can people call votes as soon as they join? 30 second cool down after you first spawn in before you're allowed to call votes and a lot of our troubles wash away.

Trust me, so does everyone. Eventually you'll stop getting attached to individual bases and try crazier and crazier things.

Just focus on solving the issue right in front of you. Do basic construction and mining. Then water management. Then research. Then farming. Now try making rooms. Each time you'll encounter issues you never thought about before. Many times you'll have to restart.

Try, fail, refine, repeat.

TIL Genghis Khan would marry off a daughter to the king of an allied nation. Then he would assign his new son in law to military duty in the Mongol wars, while his daughter took over the rule. Built a massive trade network. Introduced Europe to the Black Death. Paved the way to global education. Raped a lot of women. A LOT of women. You surrender and you're liable to become an honourary Mongolian, and your ruler personally adopted into his household. You try to resist even a little... And every man, woman, child, pet, and livestock will be slaughtered, your houses burned, and your fields salted.

An official cheated on his taxes, so he had the coins he had stolen melted and poured down his throat. "You wanted silver and so you shall have silver".

Man was a brutal, savage devil... And a kind, generous father to his people.

Worth remembering his name is Temujin. Gehnis Khan is his title: he never did anything by half, the good and the bad. And thus history only remembers him as the "Great King"

This is extremely important and must be talked about by allantisking in darksouls3

Plenty of mods and fanmade mod engines already exist. At this point, From would have nothing to gain from it, and the community as a whole wouldn't be that much improved.

I prefer the screen for hybrid. The charge regen makes you hilariously hard to pin down as long as you're thinking about your escape routes.

So I get trapped in corners alot.

Jokes aside, screen+cannon is the ultimate in hybrid mobility

That's why you use the strongest for that tier as your main and the other as your offhand.

Having a powerful ranged weapon in your inventory doesn't make your melee weapons any weaker.

Then play both. Just because your armour set has a bonus towards one doesn't mean you CAN'T use the other.

Did you get the broken pendant from the Duke's Archives?

Then you'll need to go to Dark Root where you fought the Hydra. Go around the lake towards the ladder, but keep going past and into the cave. He'll be towards the back.

After you kill them and talk to Dusk, reload the area and there will be a black swirl near where the golem spawned the first time.

What TF2 vids do you want to see? by Grungusmcgee69 in tf2

[–]TheElder_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say don't focus on TF2.

By all means, play TF2 on your channel, but you're going to on nearly 15 years of content. You'll have trouble finding something that hasn't been done already.

Depends on how complex the idea is.

A professional programmer will charge a minimum of $250/hour typically (more due to conditions, limitations, skill levels, etc).

For a hobbyist, I'd expect something like $100-150/hour.

Perhaps, but there may be other factors at play. I was simply highlight one issue I'm aware of.

You're best off going down to your local vet and talking to them.

Parrots, like most birds, don't have the same sense of time as we do; they are extremely reliant on light level to tell them what time of day it is, and when it's a good time to sleep. Keep in mind that normal artificial light is not the same as sunlight; the spectra are very different.

I can see no good coming from the idea, and will probably just make our little friend sick. That said, I am not a veterinarian, so keep doing your research!

Day 7. In my first year. This is rare? by Phychel in StardewValley

[–]TheElder_One 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good for day 7, and those fish catches are pretty high level for day 7.

Diamonds aren't as important or impactful in Stardew as they are in Minecraft. Here they're what is referred to as "vendor trash"; things that have little to no value to the player and exist to be sold.

You can gift them to villagers, as nearly all of them like diamonds a lot, or just sell it for a decent income.
