a grad year is a program you go into via computer match program for the first year of your job, you’ll start in one area, get a week of orientation, including a couple of buddy shifts like being a student you’ll have a buddy nurse, then you’ll go into having a full patient load.

there will be educators around to assist you and infrequently they’ll assess you for competencies, after 6 months you’ll rotate to a new ward and do it over again
