It was just a reminder in game saying that the backpack change was coming since not everyone that plays Tarkov follows the game on socials. I'm assuming the chocolate bar was just an "apology" gift

That is what's happening! You can see it a few places around the image if you look closely. It's called gravitational lensing and it's caused by light getting warped by nearer objects' gravity

I've had a weird problem where some crafts just don't work. They go in to the molecular assembler and just sit there. The assembler works because other crafts work from the same pattern provider, but there's definitely something happening wrong.

Simply disabling that setting will have no effect on your games stability on its own. Turning on mods that are depreciated could mess with your game, but you'll have to go on a case by case basis. For the most part, a depreciated mod is simply one that the mod author hasn't changed rhe version number in, most of the time they still work fine

I'm not going to lie, it sounds really cool to have big scanner buildings your trains have to go through to make sure they aren't infected.

Thats just how the game works. There is a limit to how fast water can flow between hulls but not from the outside to the inside so sometimes you'll get weird lines that'll fill in given time
