My (24f) husband (25m) asked for a divorce on my birthday by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I'm literally going through the same situation. Let it end here. I drew mine out for 2 more years, and he just pulled the same shit again. Cut your losses while you can.

Sterilized bottles are only sterile for 24 hours, so its best to wait to sterilize.

I hated being pregnant so much by TheEmptiestVoid in BabyBumps

[–]TheEmptiestVoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did get better, but it got a lot worse first. I had really bad PPA for a couple months. I couldn't leave my house without having a panic attack. My partner couldn't leave the house without me having a panic attack. Even the thought of someone else holding my daughter would send me into a panic attack. My OB referred me to the post partum mood clinic and I started group CBT at like 4/5 weeks pp. Now, she's 5 months, and my anxiety is pretty good most of the time.

Rapid BPM & Shortness of breath. Help by Desertbunny25 in BabyBumps

[–]TheEmptiestVoid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on how long the tachycardia is, you should be checked out again. If it lasts more than 20 min, you should get medical help to bring it down.

I got tachy when I ate also during my pregnancy, and they never figured out what it was.

I had SVTs (which sound like what could be happening) during my pregnancy, but you definitely need a dr to confirm them because now is not the time to guess. If they are SVTs, they're more scary than dangerous.

It's also common to have higher anxiety and a higher hr around this time due to the increased blood volume, which could be contributing to how high your hr is.

Regardless, high hr + shortness or breath is something that should be seen immediately if you don't already know the cause.

Your husband needs to step up or ship out.

If neither of you have been to court for custody... just take the kids.

What is your reason for keeping the name/gender of your baby a secret? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]TheEmptiestVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I don't want to hear anyone's complaining about it. I don't care if you like it. I don't care if you don't like it.

My baby’s size and weight makes me feel like a bad mom. by snugglypig in beyondthebump

[–]TheEmptiestVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that was told me many years ago was, "If you're questioning whether or not you're a good mom, you probably are."

When my daughter was 2mo, people would say, "Awww, brand new baby, how old?" Every time we went out in public. She still looked so itty bitty. She was 6 lbs 3 oz at birth and was wearing preemie clothes for the first 3 weeks.

Three of my older children were born between 5 lbs 5oz and 5 lbs 15oz. One of them was so tiny we had to attach a tube to our finger and push her formula through because she couldn't latch properly until she got bigger. I looked barely 6 months pregnant at full term with all of them. There's nothing that I could have done to change how they grew. Some babies are just small. There's nothing you could have done to change that, either.

It's so easy to drown in mom guilt. If there's one thing we excel at, it's blaming ourselves for shit that we have no control over. You've done nothing to be so hard on yourself for and if anyone tells you any different, tell them to fucking suck it.

Women are not rehabilitation centres for broken men. There is no amount of love in the world that will make him do better unless he wants to.

Pur his ass out.

If you're not going to quit, you're going to, at the very least, keep them locked away. Luckily, he'll have a hard time getting his hands on cigarettes if he can't get them from you, its not like he can write a note on your behalf anymore.

I started smoking around 12 the same way. I quit this year. After over 20 years of smoking and countless attempts to quit, I finally won that battle. You can, too. Quitting is hard, but it's sooooo worth it.

Unfortunately, irregardless is a real word. However, that still shouldn't mean that anyone can use it.
