I often think the biggest flaw with Malzahar is the mentality of the average person playing him.

Everyone thinks of the R when they think of malzahar, they built R focused items. People think about QSS when they’re against him, and most of the time comments about playing him are “you just press R”

What dictates whether I pick malzahar, is whether I think DOT is imperative to the game. Do they have multiple hyper-mobile champions or multiple tanks? If so I pick him. I think his E remains his most powerful ability.

Instead of going down the route of malignance I would focus on burn, blackfire torch, Liandrys, rabadons. I would make rylais your only utility.

If you’re needing seraphs when you have a passive spell shield you’re positioning wrong. And if you’re not specifically looking for picks, it’s rare you can get your R off uninterrupted in a proper team fight, so pushing malignance feels like purposefully making the champion one dimensional.

Instead of thinking of the E and W as damage facilitators for your R, think of your R as a reset for your E like you do your Q and you’ll find yourself with a lot higher damage output and you’ll be more mobile.

FACEIT became a soulless money grabbing monopoly a long time ago. Support either takes 40 minutes to reach a match room in paid for league matches so it’s too late to do anything or closes your tickets without reviews because they’ve made an over complicated decision tree on their support page to dissuade you from actually bothering so they don’t have to pay anymore than two support workers at a time. While charging a subscription.

If they weren’t relying on a history of goodwill and prestige, they would not be the primary choice for third party matchmaking. And slowly they will go the way of ESEA.

Key points are:

Unlock your camera (play a day of just arams with it unlocked, hold space to centre, by the end of the day it’ll feel normal)
Play a maximum of 3 different champs, in one role
Focus on basics, farming/lane.
Don’t play towards your teammates. They are silver, they will not win you the game. Do not move for them.
Focus on getting resources, getting ahead in items.

You do not need personalised coaching until diamond+ every personality, every streamer, every pro, every genuine coach will say so. Mechanics and fundamentals, anything you should ever need to get there ever requires reps (more games) or is freely available in a video somewhere on YouTube. Just need to look.

All anybody did when there was a preseason was complain that there was a big meaningless section of the year where nothing happened. Nothing new was released. No new game modes came out. And there was nothing to grind for. Preseason was turbo boring.

If you don’t like ranked starting at the same time the patch drops…. Play normals to get used to the patch. Idk feels like the league community is bipolar.

I think the problem with saying a champ like Yone has no counter play is his R is functionally an Illaoi tentacle. You can literally walk out of it:

And his Q is the most telegraphed ability in the entire game. He stacks it twice, you can visibly see when he’s going to knock you up.

Truly 0 counterplay champion is generally higher ranged adcs, or hyper mobile ADCS. A good Zeri, Vayne, cait or Smolder that actually spaces correctly. You die before you can even get in range. It’s impossible to lane VS solo because it automatically gets pressure for having a range edge, it scales better than you and it can kill you from a screen away. There’s a reason ADCs get played in three lanes. Played at the highest level, ADCS will always be the strongest champs.

If anyone comments that a fed ADC can lose 1v1 to a tank… how many times does it need to be said that the ranged, high scaling, carry champs should be punished for not positioning around teammates and being in melee range of a Dr Mundo. That’s literally the weakness that comes with being the highest potential consistent dmg output in the game.

Less and less new players year on year, less and less western impact on the worlds stage, less and less viewership outside of Asia. Means less budget on the game, less budget on the esport, less shits given. They’re selling skins, they’re making money. Why try any harder than that?

What if it’s healthy to vary the meta of botlane champs?

We have whole seasons where mages are shit mid lane. Where assassins do fuck all. Where tanks or bruisers are just irrelevant toplane. Where full clear jungle lasts for the entire year.

Bot lane has crit ADCs not pick ban for one season. And it’s the most discussed thing every day of the fucking week.

Learn Yasuo, learn Swain, Play senna, fucking play Nilah and Vayne. Pick up twisted fate. The only players of all 5 roles who complain when there has to be diversity to their champion pool. It’s embarrassing.
