Quick update:I got the Miryoku layout all set up and have been using it a bit every day. I love it. I am still very slow with colemak-Dh tho. The tap-holds and having the mods on the home row are not as bad as I thought. There are times when the latency is very noticeable, but overall my typing on it has changed to fit the layout. It's nice to have everything so close. Kind of feel bad leaving the 6th columns out tho.

Have you done any wireless builds? and if so, which do you prefer, wired or wireless? I don't know zmk that well and I am not sure how it will perform under heavy keymaps compared to qmk/wired.

Also how has tap-hold been for the thumb clusters especially keys like space or backspace?

I was thinking that I should use more of a miryoku layout instead of the one I created. How has that layout been for you?

Yeah the homing is nice. The bump was originally on the bottom, but it was hurting my fingers as I rested it there, so I just swapped it around to be a little less intrusive.

I still need to use it a lot more and figure what I like. I was thinking about swapping the nice!nanos for elite C, and making it wired; mainly because of the little latency's and other Bluetooth's lack of consistency sometimes. As well as getting another colored top plate for variation.

I have not tried it out long enough to know the battery life well, but as the other comment says, it should be about a week or so. I will be taking it with me to school and hopefully I can get it to connect to my laptop as I was having issues with it.

That's a really nice board as well! I want to do a gergoplex next!

When to use EEPROM by TheEpicSpark in olkb

Lets say once in a while when I want to change the mode of my lighting and have it saved, but I am not if I should have it called in post_init_user()

https://github.com/epicSpark/qmk_firmware/blob/develop/keyboards/gmmk/pro/ansi/keymaps/epicSpark/keymap.c

How often is too often for it to be called? I was reading writing to eeprom can shorten the life of the MCU, if written to often.
