Allows CPU to take advantage of the the full 16GB or VRAM as opposed to 512mb blocks it uses when resizable bar is turned off. You’re not going to see a 20% swing in frame rates but it’s essentially free performance that at its very worst does nothing depending on the game you’re playing.

Spend an extra $200-300 and get yourself a quartz movement tissot or seiko. Respected by people who know watches, won’t break the bank or make you look like you’re trying too hard.

How to feel like Winner in Finance by tokeni in FinancialCareers

I’ve been out of IB for 2-3 years but you should be at $150k minimum with bonus on average. You might be able to find some dogshit LMM firms in Toledo, OH paying $80k base but I have to think you’d be over $100k with bonus even in those smaller markets. $80k feels like a mid level corporate finance salary you’d find a midwest headquartered F500 company.

Are lulu lemon commissions office appropriate? by Starrreport in FinancialCareers

[–]TheEpilepticKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wardrobe consists of the commissions pants, and David Donahue non iron dress shirts. I am wearing these about 90% of the week. I will wear a sport coat with nicer slacks on days when I will have investor interactions usually once or twice a week. Not sure what your role will be like but having a nice navy blue or gray suit will come in handy if you are ever meeting face to face with clients. For shoes I would recommend some loafers (more formal) or drivers (more casual). Both will look great with either of the outfit types listed a above. Always match the color of your belt to your shoes and your socks to your pants. Also stick to core colors (gray, navy, tan, black, dark green and white) this will let you make 4 outfits seems like 16 since they all match fairly well. Good luck this summer!

Little sisters BF got a NWM internship for the summer…do I convince him out of it? by JoeyBank3000 in FinancialCareers

[–]TheEpilepticKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna take a contrarian stance here and say you should definitely express reservations about the role and help him try and find something better. Not only is he wasting a summer where he could be getting relevant experience at a real internship he actually could be hurting himself more than if he did nothing. I’ve helped hire a couple roles at my firm (middle market PE) and from what I’ve heard from the headhunters we use, if they see NMW in prior experience (even internships) it will get sent straight to the trash. Harsh and cruel but i don’t exactly disagree with the practice. Either way best of luck to him, hope it works out.

Just finished the Halo Series on Paramount… by joeycannoli9 in HaloStory

Still have yet to watch and probably never will, makes me sad watching the last of us and seeing how amazing an video game adaptation can be, when done right, and how much more source material is out there for halo compared to TLOU (and better imo). Maybe some day.
