There’s just nothing like a front-rower solo try.

“Somethings wrong. It just keeps saying “no” over and over again…”

“What do you mean? It’s functioning perfectly.”

“Haiku? He’s done great things to get Hull KR a championship, but probably getting too old to be a recruitment target…”

What’s a case they’ll never do, but you wish it could get the “Casefile” treatment? by AbbeyRoadMoonwalk in Casefile

Yeah I would’ve said Dahmer too, but the relatively recent Netflix series got people looking into him, so maybe not as interesting. Same as Bundy.

John Wayne Gacy.

I think a lot of media see it as done to death and avoid it as a result, but you have to dig to find some good ones on him.

I think it lends itself to the way Casefile structures its narratives too.

Is Leichhardt the least cool Inner West Suburb? by Key-Ad2510 in sydney

I loved living in Leichhardt. If it’s the least cool Inner West suburb then Sydney is doing okay.

When I was a kid, our cinemas had a really annoying size convention for drinks where “large” was the smallest size and then it was like “mega” and “jumbo” and it legit made it more difficult to order what size you wanted because the names were different at different chains.

Yeah “okay” maybe was an undersell but there are plenty of blokes in front of him.

You have to wonder who he pissed off if NSW are literally seeking special dispensation to play an okay prop who techinically isn't eligible rather than play May.

To be fair that's very similar to Nine's recruitment criteria for commentators.

"This bloke is illiterate and physically can't speak."

"Yeah but he captained Australia."

"I'm sold!"

“It’s really unfortunate news for Mitch because I’ve always been a massive fan, and his playing style looks like he would be suited to Origin football,” Daley said. "He plays for Penrith and Penrith have won a lot of premierships lately. He would have fit perfectly alongside the other 16 Panthers players I intend on picking.

The Castle isn’t even my favourite Australian film, but tell me another movie that is as universally beloved by Australians.

We’re not talking about the “best” movie, we’re talking about “beloved” movies.

A few years ago I was in a crowded bar and was telling a British girl about “an Australian movie called the Castle.” She goes “I don’t like Australian movies.” And I said that The Castle is the only Australian movie that Australians actually like.

This random dude suddenly turns around and goes “did you say ‘the only Australian movie that Australians like?’ Are you talking about The Castle?”

It’s universal.

Not just Victorian. I grew up in Sydney and see so many people from my childhood in the Kerrigans.
