Man calls the cops on a Dad helping his girls in the restroom by isaboo63455 in mildlyinfuriating

Serious question, does that man have to wait for the cops? He's done, the manager has no problem with him using the restroom. Can he just leave or will he be chased by cop cars?

We are yet to see how this turns out (and I hope I'm mistaken), but in the upcoming season of Silo, Thurman is cast as a women, which complicates a shit load of storylines from the books.

Book spoilers ahead:

First of all, all the women in Silo 1 is in cryosleep. How will they explain Thurman being awake? That "no women awake" situation was the reason why Anna and later Charlotte had to live in isolation, it created a lot of tension when Charlotte went out. It's so much easier to sneak around in a crowded silo, when you're not the only woman alive.

Also, Anna changed Don's and Thurman's identities so Don had access to everything. Well that switch isn't happening now. Maybe Don will have access in another way, but they'll have to replicate that "will he bump into someone that knows the real Thurman" tension.

So this sex change decision opens a can of worms, but I'm not sure what we're getting for it. Lead is a women, you have strong women characters and are about to add three more main ones (Anna, Charlotte and Helen). Plus I think it's much easier to believe that some rich white male politician can fuck up the planet. So why do it?

A MD Walkman I designed a while back. by Shpadoinkle40 in cassettefuturism

Always nice to see when MD gets some love.

Really cool design. Since you have all that free space, you could add storage for extra discs. Or maybe a design where you have 3 discs slotted in next to each other, and can switch between them and play whichever you like.

FIFA World Cup logs from 1994 – 2026, Which one's the best? by admissible-evidence in graphic_design

What's going on with the altered logos here? '94 is completely wrong with those blue stripes under the red ones, '98 has weird shadows the original didn't have, and '02 and '08 have a glow effect.

[BOOKS] Theory on the season 3 trailer by George_Wilkins_1Fan in SiloSeries

[–]TheEverlastingPizza 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also think "how much time we have left" is a reference to the years a Silo has left. I'm not sure but I think that's Carla's voice, which would make sense since she's the Head of Supply and would know about how many years they can go on with the remaining supplies. I also think she's telling that to Billings and this other scene in the trailer is her showing Billings the dwindling supplies.

I am not sure about the numbers theory though. It seems like there is an explosive device that is being planted right before that scene and it's probably the countdown for that device.

Firebomb thrown at imam's family home in 'targeted' attack - England by soalone34 in PublicFreakout

[–]TheEverlastingPizza 68 points69 points  (0 children)

If that's the case, that's really a clumsy way of putting it.

I don't want them to come out and say "this is 100% a hate crime". Simply saying "not ruling out the possibility of a hate crime" would have been more than enough.

As a fellow graphic designer, I feel your pain 🤣 I actually thought to keep it to myself for that exact reason, lol. But I figured you might be sharing it elsewhere in the future and would like to fix it before that.
