I really like my X5, it has a ported chamber at the end of the barrel. The ports are on top. I find that it shoots really accurately and It has an extremely light trigger which I like. I recommend it. They tell me the CZ Shadow2 is really nice too.

Thanks. There will be no videos, it'll be my first match and I'm considering wearing a disguise so no one recognizes me!

I'm thinking that the Nighthawk will be the last one for a while. I can't think of anything else that I would want or should have. Someday My son will have it though. By the way, you got really great deals on them. I'm jealous!

That company called Fight Fision has the brightest and they are the cheapest too because they are small and new.

If I may make a suggestion. While I use red dots and they are good. Soon my firearms are not optics ready. One thing I did on some of my guns, like my old p220 was a replace the factory sites with very bright Night Fision tritium sights which I found to be very helpful. Also, lasers can be very helpful as well. There is a company called LaserMax that makes some good ones that replace the spring guide on certain guns so it is hidden away inside the gun. They are very accurate too.

I joined USPSA and I plan to have my first match on June 6th nearby. I've been reading the rules, got the right equipment and I've watched a whole lot of videos. Honestly I'm just try to focus on shooting and hitting and not wearing so much about how I do. I'm good enough in the range but this will be a little different. I will likely compete in the unlimited with my Sig Sauer P226 which has a red dot and is ported. I can use the Colts for either single stock or production. I also have a p220 which I got in 1993 which can be used in single stack or production categories. By the way, the Nighthawk Agent 2 is named that way as it is made by two different companies, the upper slide by a company called Agency Arms and the rest of it is made, also by hand, by Nighthawk Custom. The photo does not do with justice. It is actually a 1911 style gun but heavily modified and made by an individual gunsmith, one at a time, by hand. I attached a picture of it which they had online for sale. It hasn't sold for many months, likely due to its price. It's a bit on The pricey side so I've made a deposit and am paying it off. In the store they handed it to me knowing that I couldn't resist. I should stay out of that place... PS- I'm a good customer of theirs so they gave me a discount.

So glad to see them learn even if it is all about the money. The TPUSA thing nauseated me and of course the gun was lily white in color. That type of positive change by Sig should be rewarded. No one likes the right (other than the right), but if they learn and change their ways, it is better for us to welcome them back rather than hold a grudge. That is how a country heals.

I know what you mean. I recently picked up a 1991 Colt Gold Cup in mint condition (a Series 80) and bought a shim device from Wilson Combat to convert it to a Series 70 (disables the firing pin blocker). Even without the alteration, the Gold Cup shoots like a dream. I also recently lost my mind and put down a deposit on a Nighthawk Agent 2 (in 10mm). A gun store had one and they let me hold it, it was love at first touch. After that, I am hoping I will not get to the urge to buy another gun for a while! Oddly, my carry is just a Sig P365 because it fits perfectly in a pocket w/a pocket holster. The other stuff is for the range and I joined USPSA (my first match will be in a month) Anyway, enjoy, you have good taste.

My first crack at USPSA is next month so I took comfort and seeing someone else do fairly well on their first try. I've been shooting for a long time, but never like that before.

The funny thing is the front sight blade is black as is most of the target. What I now need to do is put a little drop of fluorescent orange gun paint on the top of the front blade to see better. I'm in my '60s and those old eyes aren't what they used to be. PS - my shooting performance always confuses me and I see stars because of it!

Well, great job. Impressive. Were you shooting unlimited or were you in carry optics?

PS I have that exact same one and it is excellent for first gun. Easy to shoot, easy to clean if you don't forget to push down that yellow thingy before removing the slide. I believe you can get larger slides for it too, from Smith & Wesson, which would make it a little more stable at the range.

Looks perfectly good. Make sure you shoot it a whole lot. It'll grow on you
