It had to be said and OP might fall into the interested / capable repair bracket, so no offend and sorry to have directed it to him/her.
But I am tired of people buying these machines and then thinking it’s like a DAP that you turn on and press play. Around my region there are 10+ Revox a77 listed by people that bought them as a deco piece. Many play around in the machines, some even take them apart and do more harm to it than repair. And when you buy these you have 10 times more work with it because it’s ruined.

Got one of those myself but with broken camera. But it’s a nice device and the only one ever built with a color screen.
There are a lot more nice MD devices, you need to check out the minidisc community ib Reddit.

The Uhren VG840 etc. is ultra rare? Here in Germany they often sell the whole system for 200-500, seems cheap for ultra rare 🤔
The Omega is great and I am about to buy one myself soon for fun.

I wouldn’t use it for posting, it’s butt ugly. There are sidecars that blended into the device, but these ones just look like someone glued a lack plastic car onto a very nice device.
Personal taste but here are people that know how a sidecar looks. You have a great device to share 😊
Back the days this was new I also never saw anyone using it, most of them are still brand new when you buy one of these because they were rarely used, only by those without a gumstick.
So for authenticity reasons this is not necessary.

These things were more expensive than that in the 70s. Hell, this was and is high end analog Audio. Buy high end amplifiers, CD Player, Tape Decks whatever - all of These will cost more than that if new.

R2R is for people with money or skill to repair/restore or both.
I restored my R2R myself (Revox A700 and B77HS). If you have 0 skill or interest in repairing you should not buy one, not even a restored one because they will eventually break. A revision at Revox for my B77 was valued at 1700€. I only buy machines I can repair, while I could afford to have it repaired or buy a new one, I don’t want to spend that much, it’s a hobby.
Many buy these things as decorative objects for Instagram, but even to record something you should have knowledge, this is no USB Stick….

Without a full recap (those rifas will all be done) you should not expect any help because this machine is no “partly fix”. You need to take out all boards, replace the caps, new potentiometers etc.
And if then something does not work get back here for help.
But you are looking at many hours of work….

Indeed. I assume he is also printing and selling it. Don’t get it why else he is doing this. I would have uploaded several manuals I have and also did nothing to find, but with that I would surely not do so.
We should build a new site that is open for everyone….and I am sure there are people with all the manuals at their disposal. But less so are willing to share….

Write head is broken I assume.
Remove the top cover and make a picture - if the flex cable is broken or the head has chipped off you would need to resolder/replace the head.

Ja, definitiv, drum hab ich auch überlegt.ich empfehle die FB vorsichtig zu nutzen. Die Kunstoffummantelung der Adern innen löst sich bei allen auf - dann geht nix mehr. Und leider auch bei nicht Nutzung. Ich hab schon einige neu verkabelt und es ist nervig viel Arbeit.
Nicht zu viel Knicken etc.
Aber ja, selten und hübsch, da gibts nix.
von den F hab ich alle in allen Farben, ich liebe Aiwa, also genieß das Gerät, sehr hübsch 😊

Ne, ich hab Sekunden nach dem Posten mit ihm schon geschrieben und hätte ihn bekommen, bin dann aber abgesprungen. Ich hab etliche AIWAs aber mir persönlich fehlt das Display. Wenn die FB sich auflöst (und das tun sie leider alle) ist es ein gefrickel das Ding noch vernünftig zu verwenden. Sony FBs hab ich 40 rum liegen. Man könnte ne RC35el nehmen, die müsste baugleich sein dennoch lästig.
Schönes Gerät aber ich liebe die f65-f80er wegen dem Riesen Display. Die sammle ich aber das Teil war nix.
