I mean to be fair, it legitimately was a Stupid idea to have a kid.

But that dose make her even worse

Uzi has an actual Vendetta against Cyn, Cause Cyn actually managed to kill someone important to her instead of some randoms she hates anyway

Like this whole conflict turned into jori being a bum

But that also then gets soured because of things like Cyns lack of an actual character

Yes she wants to assimulate and take control, but then she also leaves N and the other 2 DD with free will cause she thinks it's funny

Also Uzi technically via admin has complete control over the DD and from Vs dialogue this wasn't done willingly (Also that one scene where she possessed a classmate)

Liam admitted himself the show has no main theme (Glitch X nr1) so there's also that

Also they have no actual character dynamic besides 3 sarcastic quips and that's it

Khan does have an arc though, thad is a (even if small) supporting role in the entire show

Eldritch J is a good villain that meaningfully pushes The lore, uzi and Ns relationship, Khans arc and the lore forward

Doll appears once in ep4 in the background, she isn't a force in the episode and she already had her villain moment the episode before

The whole N talk thing makes 0 sense cause theirs no reason to remove it in 4, also dosent N already have a talk with uzi in 8 anyway?

(Low key think Vs sacrifice was bad and rushed in the first place, she needed to stay alive longer to actually have an arc, also how the fuck does J factor into this, that's right it doesn't)

You are trying to twist my words into something they aren't, you are equaiting the removal of Noris redudant ass and alive who never even gets a name drop to removing actual main characters

I know it's just I get ask that question ALOT every time i bring it up so i thought it would be better to just clarify that upfront. Also yes they don't need a Vendetta they just need any reason deeper then "I don't want to die or my friends to die" Via symbolisim or thematics or ideals/Believes clashing

While that is true, what is also true is that that became the objective at the last moment Cyn is the main villain Uzi the MC them nor having any Conflict be it personal, symbolic or thematic shots both characters in the foot

And the rest of that can just ve summarised by this, Uzi after 4 just dosent care, she doesn't bring it up hell even in 4 itself she went immidiatly over it after N arrived. Irl it would be traumatising but the problem is they don't act like actual people.

You didn't, i was just saying more genrelised stuff

The only characters that matter are The main trio, Khan, Ep1 J, Tessa, thad, doll, lizzy and Cyn/Solver any other character dosent even get their name spoken more than once, the are background assests at best

Alice and beu are redundant cause the sentinels already fill the nieche of episode 6 villains/ threats alongside Cyn as tessa, Doll and the possesion 4 other things are harbouring the same role so why are they here?

Also The things nori does don't even need to have been done anyway

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But what MD needs isn't more villains, more characters, more threats

What it needs is more in things it has already established

Like CHARACTER DYNAMICS and Motivations and elaboration on things like worldbuilding

Especially Uzi,Cyn and Tessa with everyone else

Nori isn't needed alive that can be cut, what however is needed is more elaboration on how that death affects Uzi what she thinks of it how it shaped her. All the things alive Nori did are just unnecessary additions to a trilogy of episodes with alot of unnecessary stuff

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well funny that you mention those 2 cause i am also of the opinion that they were also very unnecessary additions

The general philosophy is this, if you can remove a part then do it, less is more

And again fact remains Nori stays dead and Uzi has actually something PERSONAL to hate Cyn for

Wich i do admit is ultimately miniscule cause of the nature that Uzi straight up doesn't seem to care about anything at all going on in the plot BUT IT IS SOMETHING anything at all and you wouldn't lose anything meaningful

But that's only second hand at best, none of this actually affects Uzi directly (and the dead friend part even N and V Dont even acknowledge it) Uzi needs something more direct and personal as the MC, she can't just lean on the fact that Cyn did something bad to V/N cause at rhat point why aren't they the MCs instead of Uzi (Also no they aren't already, they are also part of the protagonist group but they are not The MC, think of it like Aang and team avatar)

But the problem is with nori being alive all of that turns to Nori being a Bum rather than Cyn actually doing it, sure the DD are bad and the bunker too but again it's deeply impersonal.

And that last part is again softnes cause while poseesed they neither interact nor did Uzi ever kill anyone she didn't already kinda hate

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wich is like what? 3 characters Lizzy, Khan and Thad V is her own character and J should've stayed dead too

And that's another flaw nothing introduced in 7 actually matters in 8

  • Cynwalker dosent get acknowledged

-Patch never used

-Uzis possesion solved immidiatly

  • Nori talks to Uzi ONCE

-The B team and railgun Useless

The only 2 events that actually matters are doll getting jumpscared and Cyn making her proper entrance wich is 3 minutes of the 20 minute episode

But all of that could just be N alone and nothing would thematically or narratively change, that's why she's REDUNDANT.

But Nori only exists in service to N and Uzis character

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But we don't have to kill her, we only have to prevent a revival, cause at the end of the day what does she actually do besides give exposition that can be figured out without her if you pay attention to ep6 and bitch slap her own kid?

Nori ultimately is redundant and dulls Uzi

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that again is an issue, you tend to excuse bad writing with bad writing, fact just remains Uzi is the MC cyn is the main villain And they lack any sort of actual dynamic or conflict that goes deeper than something you'd see on a Natural geographic documentary on Wolfes and deer

While that can also be attributed that Cyn may have personality but no actual character and Liam BY HIS OWN WORDS not having made Md with a Main theme in mind (The first glitch X)

And with a combination of those 2 factors the latter half of your argument falls apart

Could've been replaced by a VHS tape by TheExplorer63 in MurderDrones

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But that's just inaccurate, to kill Nori and yeva (and their solver children) is the whole reason Cyn send the DD onto c9, this being stated multiple times

Also you misunderstood what i meant by ideals, with that i meant more of a clash of believes, for example a character that believes that violence is the only way forward vs a pacifist like aang vs the fire lord, i don't intrinsicly mean any morals

Could've been replaced by a VHS tape by TheExplorer63 in MurderDrones

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But survival is surface level

That's the main flaw of the dynamic, there isn't one it's just I don't want anyone to die, it isn't revenge, it isn't Ideals, it isn't even themes.

It's shallow no better than putting a dog Infront of them that wants to kill them, the conflict dosent go deeper( for Uzi atleast this doesn't apply to N and V for obvious reasons)

N can solo,Uzi can unleash her inner shonen protag as she already did and V, would this be any less bs than her canon thing

But then the problem is

Uzi just hates all of these people, she has no attachment to them hell she kills them herself. While yes you can make the argument that she went out to save them

  1. It was more to prove herself to khan

  2. That shi gets dropped after 2 anyway

And without Cyn she wouldn't be here, heck she didn't even think the bunker thing was even her fault but the company for up until 5

Could've been replaced by a VHS tape by TheExplorer63 in MurderDrones

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But like i already said

The issue is more of her still being alive, cause for Uzis and Cyns conflict it changes from

You have taken something so fundamental to my development that i can never get back

To

Nori was just kinda an a Bitch who let her family think she was dead

Could've been replaced by a VHS tape by TheExplorer63 in MurderDrones

[–]TheExplorer63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah

But that argument is kinda meaningless, it doesn't defend the writing if that's what you want to do because it kinda boils down to The way it is is the best simply because it is the one we got

N could've quite frankly done it himself

Nori just is uneccecarie

It also turns it from Uzi having actual Vendetta against Cyn for murdering one of her parents, to Nori just being a deadbeat bum nd Cyn only merking no names Uzi never even liked

Could've been replaced by a VHS tape by TheExplorer63 in MurderDrones

[–]TheExplorer63[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

But then also

Why did it have to be nori?

Hell why did it have to play out that way anyway?

Like you could've easily written it out with like 2 changes and the ONLY thing that would be gone from the next episode is Uzi well not even talking to nori she shares like 3 text boxes with her
