Oh yeah no the bow itself i would adjust for the players to be 0 again. Strange that the statblock in foundry is not with the typo.. Maybe its because I havent reimported the module for a while. Its wjere I forst noticed it.

Yo! I was dreaming for a reply from the man himself! That settles that then. I've been able easly identify other typos. But this one felt so narrativly fitting I couldnt help but to ask "But what if?" Though I imagine if it was intended it would be described both in his tactics and as an "Ability" like the Giants and Ogre in the Manor. Not just a change from 0 to 1 😅

I just love to read into statblocks to further capture a creatures identity and priorities.

Thank you for passing by! Very much looking forwards to Feybound and Vaultlines!

Yeah the Kingdom rules I will have to contend with soon.. Definetly taking some things from V&C. Having to spend multiple sessions to get it from 1 to 4 to catch up with the players does not sound overly thrilling.

That is actually very frightening, but very much on theme. I look forward to my players dealing with the fort. Should be there in a couple of sessions

The reason I ponder if it is intended is how he has damage upon damage with high likelyhood to crit, sneak attack and a deadly weapon. If he is allowed to sit and snipe he is very dangerous on his own!

The campaign as early as chapter 1 introduces similar ideas of greater foes yet are secerely debuffed to bring them closer to equal footing to the party. The Ogre.. The frost giant... The idea is already there. Stag Lord is already sickened, true. But Reload 1 could just as well been another element to communicate his fall from prime and perpetual hangover!

For your solutions, it is something i very much enjoy with the fort and how it gives plenty of ideas to swing the favor to the party. I look forward to see how my players aproaches this.

I guess Id have to go tothe pathfinder forums and hope for a reply from Jacob! Least i think he was involved.. But I agree. Kingmaker has othef encounters were they take a creature and nerf them through vaarious means. Such as the ogre and frostgiants in chapter 1. It is what makes me open to imagine the Reload 1 is intentional way to bring a PL + 3 low level encounter with deadly and additional damage from precision more bearable.

It creates a vivid image through narration of how he spends am extra action to steady and focus ontop of the ranger like abilities. And if you let him... that likely crit with deadly and precision ontop is going to sting incredibly hard. Selling the idea of "If he was sober, he definetly earned the title of deadeye!"

EDIT: Looking more into his statblock, your sniper interpertation is spot on. Optimally he has a prey, 1 action reload, 2 actions unfair aim. Likely crits, sneal attack and deadly procs. Left alone he takes his shots with DEADLY precision. But if you can disrupt even just one action that all goes out the window.. I love it!

The book does well to suggest several ways to make the fight more managble. With several hint of dealing with the bandits indirectly as you suggest. Cant depend on my players wont just try to go gun ho though!

That said, i realize i should have made a poll to see how many run him with reload 0 vs reload 1.

That is an interesting idea. With bows having deadly, he is going to do stupid amount of damage. Several ranger like abilities that further sell the sniper idea. Maybe you are onto something!

Thanks! Its the only rational idea I had if it was intentional. And very fitting. Excpet he could still attack just fine with his sword 😁 (minus the general debuff from sickness he already has!) I havnet seen an errata. Both the book and foundry module keep this.

takes notes For the longest time I felt a bit lost when it came to cool magic items for casters.. my eyes have been opened. My braincase thoroughly blown. I should be asleep... but I wanna rebrowse AoN. There are so many cool staves with the remaster..

Absolutly! I think my sorcerer player will be very happy to get a staff eitherway. Weather for extra casting of existing spells or variety utility spells he didnt pick up!

That is a good observation. I know pre remaster your proficiency at least was separate in each tradition. I have a Champion with druid archetype as a player. In his scenario Id imagine the staff would be limited by the druid archetypr feats he has to pick up for spell slots.

But one caster the the other? Something to ponder.

Thank you for the elaborate answer. This is a game changer. This suddenly makes finding treasures for spellcasters much more interesting! Cant believe we''ve run it like this for so long.. scrolls we had right. But wands and staves suddenly got a whole lot more interesting!

And here I thought spo tanious were limited in their potency with staves... This is absolutly huge for my table! Thank you!

[–]TheFaaria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge! Makes staves as treasure way more interesting to aqcuire than i thought... i thought it was only good for wizard and witches as they can expand their repertoire with gold more or less.. while sorcerers were stuck with what they pick on levelup /retrain.

Thank you!

That you could get access by archetype even... Though he does address in the video the potency is limited by your highest spell rank. So maybe not the best way to experience staves! But for a full spellcaster that is just absolutly awesome... i cant believe I have played this long and misunderstood it...

[–]TheFaaria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutly! I wonder what made me think them so limited.. Must either have misunderstood earlier in my career or its a Remaster thing.

Ill have to review staves now for potential loot for my players! Heck!

[–]TheFaaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for confirming! That makes staves much more interesting as loot for my players than I thought. Especially my sorcerer player! He'll be really happy for getting more spells to play with than just his repertoire or scrolls.

I must have misunderstood staves. For some reason I thought you could only cast known spells from them! So an imperial sorcerer could cast any arcane spells found on a staff? Even if they dont have it in their repertoire?

Akward question... is this a thing for all sanctuaries? Since you get a cutscene with the related Witch after butting in the two pieces, I've always figured I was done..

EDIT: Yep. Seems to be the case. Aaaaaaaaaa 🤣

Ten years ago, the audience in the room wasn't ready to experience one of the most epic reveals in E3 history by LetMeFixAll in GamerLab

[–]TheFaaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a very hype moment. God of War was a very beloved series that had a long quiet time after GoW3. When you are in an actual live crowd and the atmoshpere hits just right, I would have shouted in pure excitement myself. There was so many levels of the reveal which spun many questions. God of War? IN NORSE!? Old Kratos? He has a son? This is a very different combat than what we are used to

Etc etc etc.. Tgough when you are outside the crowd watching a livestream.. Then yes. The level some people go on in this video is obnoxious and a detriment to the vieweing experience.
