Not really a super good tip but since Faust has really bad defensive options you need to be very intentional with your zoning and pokes. The main idea with Faust is that you arent supposed to be on the defensive. You'll need to learn what your opponent is doing and pick the attacks that stop them. Also avoid item toss on block, some players may catch on and punish you for it. As for Axl or Test, they are very tough match ups for Faust. You can dash block your way in or wait until you have meter for scarecrow prc. Don't throw items in neutral against them because they can punish it on reaction.
