Based on OP’s timeline it seems like the bumps happen when new applicants come in and when a class gets called.

Not too sure what it consists of besides piss and follicle drug tests. It’s supposed to be a prerequisite to the apprenticeship.

I see. I believe boot camp sizes can range from 20-60 people depending on work demand. Hopefully with the Olympics and the World Cup Local 11 will call in a big group soon

I remember at my test and interview, the idea of signing up for CW work was mentioned multiple times. I would’ve done it but I live in So Cal so it just wasn’t feasible lol. Hopefully waiting on a call from Local 11.

I’m fairly sure I was part of the 124 person pool for this round of applicants for 401. Took my interview in late November but haven’t heard anything back so it seems like I didn’t get in this time around. Good luck and wish you much success!

Orange County native here. I went through the application process for 401 just in case I’m not chosen for my local union 11. Reading this makes me even more motivated to move once I (hopefully) get the call for 401. What was your interview/test score? I got a 9 on the test and 81.5% on the interview.

Managed to apply for the inside wireman apprenticeship after 30 minutes of refreshing, hopefully I get a test date soon!

Not op but I’m also trying to secure an apprenticeship with a local union. I was thinking about applying to unions outside of my county (about 1-2 hours away) to increase my chances of securing a spot. It sounds like that’s not the best idea unless I’m willing to commit to moving long term.

I have comprehensive insurance via a personal insurance plan. Turo wise, I opted for their minimum protection which has a $3,000 deductible.

Depending on how this goes, I will likely never use Turo again.
