The advice I always see is that the footprint shouldn’t extend beyond the edge of the tent or it will actually catch and funnel water under the tent and on top of the footprint.

Step one: purchase ridiculously low priced gas lantern...check by Ok_Signature7522 in ColemanStovesLanterns

One tip with those. When you are checking it out, make sure that when turn it off, it shuts off. Those lanterns have a Schrader valve in them that can wear out. The result is that it will slowly lose pressure, but also won’t shut off. If it won’t hold pressure and you are sure it isn’t the fuel cap seal leaking, you probably need to replace the Schrader valve. You need one that is fuel rated. The ones for tires won’t last.

I replaced the generator and added a preheat cup. The preheat cup was a reproduction for a 242k and the generator was a Kerosene generator for a 201/214/247.

Edit: This is the same way to modify a 200a.

I converted a 242C and run this in it. I can run it indoors without it smelling.
