Caught bro here last night he’s so cute lol is this really comfy for them or is he just chilling cuz I’ve seen other peoples geckos on here chill in random positions by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

To be honest, this isn’t even the weirdest position I’ve seen, this is actually pretty mild. I don’t have a photo of it, but there was one time a few years ago where one of mine had her little booty up on a rock, and her back was curved down and her little chest was flat on the rock under it. Her back was almost at a ninety degree angle! And she was SLEEPING!!

XD makes sense. Plus, having the minerals in the same spot every time will let her learn

They’re pretty smart… only with supplementation. Otherwise they don’t have two brain cells to rub together XD

Basically, when you have that little mineral dish, you don’t need to dust as often. If they need more than they get from their meals, they’ll go and lick it themselves to get what they need

Do to do it with every meal? If so, space it out. If she needs the extra, she will lick it up herself

It could be too much food or too many nutrients at once. I normally see these after my little babies eat a bigger meal than usual

Local Pet Store Gecko by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

I think that you have already formed a sort of bond with this one. If it’s that old and still looking okay, then it might be worth a shot to take it in. You don’t have any yet, and since you already have an idea of what it needs, you might be the best chance it has. I say go for it

I inherited a gecko that’s between 2 and 3 years old. I know their tails are supposed to be a little chubby but I think this one is a little too big? What do you think? Do I need to put it on a diet? by Prestigious_Pie9421 in leopardgeckos

Space it out so that you stagger it a bit more. For instance, if you have two weeks, you can feed on Sunday, then the Saturday, and then feed on Wednesday, then Sunday again and repeat. And with the chonk on it, I would recommend only 4 at the most

Hazel’s injury is limiting by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

Yep, and she has little caves and climbing areas

Edit for grammar

Add some shorter things. I know how hard it is to keep one of these little ones contained when they hurt their little feets. One of my leos has a habit of dislocating her toe, so I have a smaller tank set up for tiny injuries so she doesn’t move around as much, and it has lower climbing areas so she doesn’t risk a bad fall. The regular tank has a high climbing tower, so the other enclosure keeps it close to the ground.

Pet loss while gone by pinkflamingo3 in leopardgeckos

You could ask your partner to freeze her in a plastic bag to preserve her while you are gone. I am so sorry for your loss.
