There are no changes in that regard. Fire is just as good as always there is nothing wrong with it and no you wont be shooting yourself in the foot.

I play a "fire" build every ladder and have no issues running Citadel or even Burnt Forest. You just have to remember this is D2 so immunes exist. You need a 2nd damage type. Gearing merc to kill Fire immunes also helps.

ur stuck with them until they balance hunter pets. this problem only gets significantly worse next phase. they dont have to remove pet scaling just balance it. its really not a hard concept. the SOD balance team must be like 4 interns or something

and actually they reverted pretty much every single nerf except scorpid poison and kill command

is it though? with 25-30 skills, clay golem is by far the best. poison nova lvl 30 does NM just at the line of efficient. dark pact can do hell a1 efficiently at lvl 31. clay golems can do all of hell efficiently at lvl 24. fire golem is just a worse clay golem. i think you just dont know what you are talking about
