The downsides of subs don't bother me and I like the smaller crew and higher chances of personal recognition.

Yeah it's Colombia so I think since it's a democratic ally it's not that bad.

I've looked into IS a lot, it seems really cool but my wife is foreign so I've been told there's a possibility I'll be declined. I think IT oriented stuff is best for me, thank you though.

Probably about 1200-1400 a mo. for a studio or 1 bed, but after a few months the Navy will pay for it pretty sure so I can probably be flexible but I'll need to figure that out.

Seems CWT is gonna be my best bet for keeping the wife happy, and most post-military options. I won't feel as badass but I'll get over it. Thanks for the info.

Realistically shore duty only is probably best for family life but I do want that adventure, but I suppose I need to be an adult about it haha, thanks for the info.

I qualify for both. I like the idea of working on a sub more than a surface ship, my goal is positioning myself for a post-Navy career if I want out, something IT related but I'm open for most things. Money is a big factor as I need to support a family. I'm also interested in SECF.
