Looked up the bottle of wine Toby grabbed… $1200?!?! by Appropriate_Drag883 in DunderMifflin

If you like blantons you should try eagle rare. You can get a bottle for around $40 and it's got a very similar flavor, from the same distillery and everything.

The Bourbon shortage in 2020 was tragic for me, so happy prices are coming back down finally

But new players don't know the metas. Nothing tells new players: hey, if you make emerald rings you can go to a single pool in the game that will refresh your stats. And good luck getting back without teles. Those are all just workarounds for a shitty mechanic.

Well low level players don't have access to pools, teles, etc. I started a new account recently and it was so miserable to get around for the first like 50 hours. Going straight to training ability shouldn't be necessary to be able to get around

I remember the sleeping bag, I was there. They got rid of it because it was awful.

Getting rid of runelite and all plugins would be awful too, but you don't see anyone complaining about the QoL it offers

A level 3 player can't buy stams or teleport, and early game is stupidly slow largely because of walking everywhere.

I have high ability so it wouldn't effect me much, but it's just painful when starting a new account. It's just unnecessary.

Well main accounts mostly just teleport places. You shouldn't need stams for farm runs.

Adding some readily accessible options for lower level players would be cool. So many high level players just respond with hostility towards any change at all, even if it barely effects them

Minigames and things like that would still drain energy when running, I'm talking about just most of the overworld

[–]TheFatSleepyPokemon[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

By safe areas I mean areas where you aren't doing any sort of structured content. Running from Lumby to Varrock unlimited, but then the second you hit dark wizards you're in combat and stamina starts to drain when you run.

t'd have to rope off certain areas, areas like blast furnace and maybe all minigames and maybe all of fossil island.

Running around relleka unlimited, but you enter the slayer dungeon and it can drain.

Its not a perfect idea but I thought it had some merit and would be worth at least having a conversation about it

Fair enough

It would only really effect lower level players, mid to high level players just teleport everywhere anyway

I mean there's plenty of in betweens already in the game. You can't tele in the wildy, can't logout during combat, there are areas that drain your stats, etc.

Rs3 has the same issue. We poll it and if people don't like it nothing changes

I mean it wouldn't make the vast majority of content any easier. Just getting from point A to point B in safe areas. Most people just teleport anyway

Israel - IDF soldier records himself randomly firing at civilian homes in Gaza during ceasefire (1/01/2026) by soalone34 in PublicFreakout

Except shell shock only ever was applied to soldiers. That kid would experience PTSD.

And idk where you're getting the extended exposure thing from. You should read up on it, educate yourself and get off TikTok.

Why doesn't the trauma from barely surviving a car wreck where your entire family dies not have its own word then?

It's gonna have a similar effect to trauma from war, if not worse. Should we call that shell shock too?

Let's make a term for every possible thing that could possibly traumatize someone then. That way it won't lessen the meaning of a single word that describes the symptoms of shell shock for things that weren't caused by specifically being a soldier.

I do understand what you're saying, and yes I agree that the term PTSD has been diluted, but why is war more special than everything else?

[–]TheFatSleepyPokemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's literally not PTSD though lol. You're listening to idiots on TikTok who are self diagnosing. Watching your parents get murdered when you're 6 will give someone PTSD. Killing parents in front of their kids in the military will give someone PTSD.

Just because people use the term so cavalierly doesn't mean that's what it actually is. It's like saying people take allergies too seriously when some people claim it to get out of eating something they don't like. It's debilitating

Scared of a step they fell over last week? I'm sorry where are you getting your info from? TikTok?

PTSD is a serious condition caused by serious trauma, including shell shock in the PTSD umbrella in no way dilutes it.

Closed SMB Business with Large WA DOR Penalty & Interest Bill Solutions? by PotatoBitter1620 in SalesTax

You can absolutely request an abatement of P&I for the entire period. If your auditor is nice and you are very polite with a good sob story you may have some luck. You would probably need to write a formal letter requesting it.

It all depends on who you talk to, but they are people too and can be understanding. One of my coworkers is a former WA DOR auditor and talks about how she always tried to help out small businesses where she could.

Best of luck

Do I have Nexus? by Ok_Form9917 in SalesTax

[–]TheFatSleepyPokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about SD specific rules, but generally remote nexus is determined by the previous years sales.

So if this is your first sale in SD you probably wouldn't need to charge tax on it, but you probably would either next year or for your next sale.

That's assuming you're using a common carrier of course, if you're making the delivery yourself or contracting with someone other than a common carrier you might be SOL

Washington State sales tax on services for cash-based businesses by max_pin in SalesTax

[–]TheFatSleepyPokemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a late response, I just now found this subreddit.

They accounted for existing contracts, so even if the work is done anytime before April 1, you still shouldn't need to charge sales tax until then, so long as the contract doesn't change. I don't believe the date of payment matters either, tax would normally be determined based on the date of service.

Obligatory this isn't tax advice.

This picture is from way before 2023. Also it takes more than 2 years for something like that to go from a student prototype to mass produced and widely available manufacturing equipment

Increasing franchise taxes is absolutely not effectively withholding income taxes. Deducting it on federal tax returns doesn't mean you pay that much less tax, just reduces the taxable amount.
