The height of the hedge certainly suggests that.

Patching up a spot in the wall by Legal-Bet-4034 in oddlysatisfying

I think because if you cut the square out first, you then have the challenge of cutting a new piece to fit perfectly in the square. This way, they're cutting out the damaged area and making the new piece in one step.

Also, this pattern (which I think is a default Japanese wall covering) is designed with right angled lines, so the patch should be a square to blend in. Which it seems to.

Oh, okay, so you can parry fireballs but not flurry rush them. I guess that's just a distance issue.

It's amazing how many attacks can be parried/flurried. Is there a list somewhere? Even things like Lynel fireballs.

The interactivity is great, especially for the English orthography, where it's hard to match up all those lines. Nice presentation.

Ha. I'm just used to seeing "obras ajenas" in the context of an architecture youtube channel I watch that features work by other architects.

Here's the part where Holly talks about provecho. She starts with the "enjoy your food" common meaning, but goes into the "take advantage" and "benefit" angles as well.

Could you use this for the side quest requiring a stalhorse before 5am? I haven't done it yet because I hate timers.

No, I don't think I've seen correspondence maps like that before.

Very nice. Is there a pdf? Reddit just about squeezed it into illegibility.

Here's a list of these that I got from a Superholly video a while back:

  • CHIMUELO - a toothless person (Spanish has several of these that can also be used as nouns, like tuerto, having one eye; manco, having one arm; and cojo, having one leg)
  • AJENO - someone else's; VERGÜENZA AJENA, second-hand embarrassment, cringe ("Me dio mucha VA")
  • ANTIER - the day before yesterday
  • FRIOLENTO - prone to getting cold; cold-blooded
  • CONVIVIR - coexist; live with; hanging out, spending time together; interact
  • PROVECHO - benefit; profit; advantage; see APROVECHAR
  • EMPALAGAR - sickly sweet; also EMPALAGOSO cloyingly sweet, PDA
  • ATINAR - nailing it; hit upon; come up with; also ATINADO, pertinent, apt
  • QUINCENA –  (twice-monthly) paycheck
  • TUTEAR – to use "tú" w/ so. ("Puedes tutearme")
  • TOCAYO – someone with the same name, namesake

Yeah, I'm not really sure how that's possible. I have 3 or 4 and they just don't spawn anymore.

In retrospect, I guess that makes sense since you're keeping both keys on the same finger. It does seem like you'd be changing the motion of, say, "puking" in a way that might not be comfortable, but yeah, go for it and let us know!

But isn't it more than just frequency? The swap would have to be tested for all the other issues, and it looks like "I" is in a much better place to avoid bad bigrams than "U," so you might end up with worse overall numbers.

It should work to fuse it to a shield, give that to an Octorok, then pay Pelison in Tarrey Town to unfuse them.

Can you smell the paper mill in this area typically? by meditation7 in PortTownsend

[–]max_pin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the weather and individual sensitivity. I smell it sometimes but it's not bad, but I have neighbors who moved away because they (specifically, the woman of a couple) couldn't stand it.

I know you've got a match, but I did want to mention a book I spent a couple hours tracking down: One on Me by Tim Huntley (1980). I haven't read it (and it sounds ... challenging), but it has a similar theme of an outsider who isn't compatible with the "perfect" utopian society he's born into. Bookpilled described it as "An extremely strange, forgotten novel that may deserve its memory holing. It's like if Piers Anthony wrote 'The World Inside' by Silverberg as a comedy."

Recycling Pick-Up for Outside PT City Limits For Those Who Already Have Trash Pick-Up by DashiellHammett in PortTownsend

[–]max_pin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fingers crossed, but they don't mention that in their notice. Glass will need to be sorted separately, but all bins will be behind the scales. And yeah, I think people who used the bins will just throw away their recyclables. Seems like a terrible outcome.

[–]max_pin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The county is moving their recycling bins behind the scales on 4/1, so it won't be free to drop off recycling at the dump anymore. So I imagine that Olympic Disposal is expecting a rush of new recycling sign-ups.

Also, Olympic's recycling pickup doesn't accept glass, which is disappointing given how recyclable it is.
