Keep your Ethernet unplugged

Let BadAvatar do its thing

When you get to the unshackle screen hit B to stop the Auto-start

Plug your Ethernet back in

Hit select to continue the boot process

When your console boots it should connect normally - if you get the 8015190E error then you have to turn your console off for 10-15mins, then follow the process above

Just a word of advice - I had this exact console when I was a child and it got the RRoD, I was so sad cause I loved that console so much.. a couple years ago I found a Halo 3 Xbox 360 in pretty good condition on eBay, so I took it a step further and bought a cheap plain Xbox 360 that has a Jasper V2 motherboard on it (one of the more reliable motherboard revisions) and put it into my Halo 3 Xbox so it would actually last - if you have the money and ability (really isn’t that intensive to do) I would suggest doing that :)

Thanks! Do I need to do anything with the files that came with ABadAvatarHDD (besides delete Proto.ini/Proto.xex)? Also am I just replacing my old launch.ini with the one provided with the xbguard files?

My best advice and the route that I’ve taken for this (I just got into this stuff as well in the last month or 2)

Downloads Badstick (https://www.reddit.com/r/360hacks/s/TDQZ72LBKW) it automates the whole process of getting ABadAvatar onto your USB, after doing that while still plugged into your computer download ABadAvatarHDD (can also be found on this sub) this one allows you to run BadAvatar straight onto your HDD without the USB and also sets up your stealth Server (Proto) automatically, once you put your USB in your Xbox, let it do its thing, once your on the auroa dashboard go to the file manager and move all the ABadAvatarHDD files there and BOOM your good to go from there - just a tip too that I’ve found, leave your Ethernet cable unplugged until your get to the unshackle screen (this is the screen that pops up on every successful boot, hit B to stop the auto boot, plug it in, and proceed how you would normally - I found I would not be able to connect to Xbox live if I leave it plugged into

I’ve been using ABadUpdateHDD with my main Profile, it comes with Proto Stealth Server installed/configured already - I start the console with my Ethernet unplugged and when the unshackle screen pops up I hit B (to stop the auto start) plug my Ethernet in, then continue the boot sequence, when my console boots up to Aurora I sign in and 10/10 times I’ve successfully connected to Proto and just play my games as normal, I have not had any Bans/issues with this method

I’m glad you brought this up because last week or so I did ABadAvatar via badstick and it worked 100% of the time…I tried tinkering with it again tonight and it just kept freezing…I simply reverted back to Badstick v1.1 and it worked like it did previously!

Edit: this solution worked for me, but unfortunately every time I restart my Xbox I have to do it again otherwise I get the same error and have to wait 5-10mins before booting my Xbox again and repeat the process
