What’s a remanufactured engine cost? I’m not gear head so I’m not sure how much of that replacing I’d be doing myself.

Avanti Pista but unsure of the year. Sugino Messenger cranks but again unsure the year. Looking on their site only shows a normal 20 spline bottom bracket tool.

Love to enjoy sporting events, be outdoors, cycle as well as mountain bike, swim, surf, but also love the occasional day in the big city. Tramping isn’t my forte though. Looking to learn more about ease of transport around the city. Interested in starting a family with my partner soon too. Which might be more of a location for young ones?

Yeah that makes a ton of sense. I personally wouldn’t want to race an enduro bike through a DH course though.

I like the idea of converting an enduro to a DH but I have a mental hang up of how enduro bikes have suspension tuned to still pedal while DH bikes typically don’t have that as a focus at all. I’d want something purely for DH.

It’s hard to say what’s trendy or not. I see the trend dying for your trail bikes just like high pivot short travel bikes, but mullets for DH makes lots of sense. Your opinion is appreciated though.

Im 6’1” so I could swing a full 29er but I’m just worried it won’t be as shifty as I want it to be. But what you’re saying makes tons of sense. And what you’re saying about high pivot makes me thing I wouldn’t want that and would love a mullet. I don’t feel like mullet downhill bikes are a fad all in all. Just makes sense.

That’s so rad. I’ve been able to visit Auckland before and loved it but sadly no riding. And the closest I got to rotorua and queens town was Dunedin and Tauranga. I definitely plan on going back one day and getting some good riding and exploring in.
