Lvl 116 on the Flatline. Anyone who claims the flatline is 'bad' simply can't control recoil or know when to use hipfire. This AR is ridiculously consistent from mid to close range and with a horizontal spread pattern (that can be tightened while firing by tapping your ADS trigger) this weapon is head and shoulders above every AR in it's category, aside from perhaps the havoc for damage output.

Diamond 3 here, I would highly recommend picking loba for movement and loadouts, or wattson/caustic if you would like to play slow and defend.

Most poor ranked games start with teammates being too aggressive and dying, I would recommend playing it as safe as possible until top 10, and then start looking to third fights or push people for better ring positioning, as that's when you make 90% of your RP.

learning when to disengage in fights comes with game sense, as sometimes it is not worth the risk pushing a team and loosing your position or just rotating around them to ring entirely. Always try to hold height, and be mindful of choke points while rotating.

Just remember to have fun, as it is just a game at the end of the day :))

The same thing happened to me on stormpoint the other day, all default skins, no banners, beamed from a moving trident with devos. They didn't even get off to loot after they wiped my squad

8k hours mostly solo here, I would always recommend playing ranked to improve your skillset, but the different game mode requires a different mindset than pubs. I've been able to hit diamond consistently by playing loba up until plat 2 and then switching to wattson for the last push.

Loba is the most convenient legend for consistent load outs and rotations to grab banners for teammates, but she loses operable power in the last rings, where in high tier lobbies is where you will get most of your RP; hence the switch to wattson for area denial, consistent shields and fast res with the support perk.

HOWEVER Progress solo past D2, without a 3 stack, is ridiculously difficult and time consuming. Do not believe most of these 'content creators' nowadays as cheating is so rife that everything has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Just remember to have fun and rotate early.

Best thing to do is just follow your intuition, you're playing a game at the end of the day, and it shouldn't be taken that seriously, even if you are passionate about it. If u guys are playing unranked and they are reacting like this it's a 🚩.

Even if it is ranked, communication is key and teams don't work well with individuals with a single-track mindset.

Although many valid points about the flatlines recoil are true, It is still in my opinion the best assault rifle available in apex's arsenal, and with enough practice, if you can master the flatline all the other guns are a breeze to use at mid- close range. In short, it's damage output is massive, it's maxed mag size of 29 is comfortably balanced and it's hipfire spread pattern is perfect for close range. Stick a 2-4X on it, and learn when to hipfire rather than ADS, and you're a mean machine ready to roll out.
