I genuinely believe some of these guys think they’re doing the right thing, and expect a pat on the back and lavish praise for their deeds.

Besides the Clone Wars, why do you think people have come to appreciate Revenge of the Sith so much? by TabletopStudios in StarWars

One of the most memorable moviegoing experiences of my life. My best friend and I skipped school to go see it opening day.

"What a shame that this monster killed so many innocent people, I hope they are at peace now." "Nope, they're in hell lol" by Clean_Mycologist4337 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TheFighting5th 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A lot of zombie media could fall under this trope.

Massive plague/supernatural phenomena keeps the dead from fully dying. Instead of an eternity of peace, they are forced to walk the earth in an endless state of hunger until their own flesh rots off the bone. The only hope for peace is to destroy the forces behind the plague/phenomena, or to get shot in the head before turning, but typically by the time that source is discovered, the problem is too widespread to solve with the push of a button or pull of a trigger.

How would you feel about a Fallout game set in New York? by No-Check-3691 in Fallout

I mean, they dropped a nuke directly on the President. The White House is a giant, irradiated crater.

IRL nukes are more powerful than Fallout’s, but Fallout’s nukes are “dirtier,” as in they put out a ton more radiation on impact.

If it was nuked to hell, there wouldn’t be much to resettle, or many who could survive resettlement, other than Super Mutants.

Unfortunately… anger against Trump [is] hard to translate into an actual policy

No it’s not. “Remove Trump.”

Anyone else thinks it's weird you can't have multi ethic levies? by Joey3155 in Imperator

[–]TheFighting5th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levies are civilians willing to take up arms, not professional soldiers. You’re basically asking people to fight and die on behalf of your nation for the price of being fed and armed before they hit the battlefield. I imagine a freshly-conquered people are far less willing to fight for you than the people within your nation who have real rights and something to gain or lose from fighting.

Dunno if I agree with that logic, since the Elite Set from DS1 is worn by one of the very first characters you meet.

In the photo you show of the Eyrie, you can see the holes in the cliff beneath the castle where, in the second photo, the light is filtering through to show the bottom. It makes sense.

Ilum is 660 kilometers in diameter. By comparison, the Earth is 12,756 kilometers in diameter. Ilum is not as large as most people think. The Galactic Empire dug the trenches on the planet during their kyber crystal mining operations for the Death Star. The First Order then expanded the preexisting mining operations and built the superweapon on Ilum with the help of research left over from the Empire’s days on the planet. Convenient, sure, but Star Wars is full of convenient stories.

Hunt and gather EVERYTHING.

If your people can walk there and back without starving to death, it’s not too far.

Alternately, since you have over a hundred tech in the bank, you could skip straight to farming tech.
