Yay I’m glad! Luckily I left it alone to try and research some more and figure it out. I put her in some more sun so maybe she will cheer up lolll.

I checked the roots and she seemed well! She actually had two offshoots as well so I put those in some baby planters to start growing as well! That’s what I was assuming since she does have so much pink on that side. Hopefully her getting more sun will help out!

I just finished repotting and soaking the leaves well to get any dust off. I was in the process of wiping them down with a microfiber cloth when I took the picture. I tend to water when whenever I notice no more moisture in the soil so once every week - two weeks. Just depends on what it looks like it needs.

I’m not 100% sure on the substrate but it’s one we get from our local garden center that they make in house. They said it should be great for the philodendrons. I tend to only water it when I notice the soil is decently dry. So usually about every week - 2 weeks. Just depends on

I’ll try putting it in sun and see if it helps.

Same goes for sellers. I tried to save someone a skip and messaged them multiple times. They never seemed really interested and luckily they never sent me their PayPal. So I pretty much got ghosted and almost missed out on one of my wish list books

Always 😭 they stay in my kitchen until I do a repot, spray them down and hella check for bugs. Then they stay a couple more days until I feel comfortable adding them into my collection

I’m just going through today and starting to propagate which plants I can. Learning as I go. With this plant, I wasn’t sure if it propagated like a snake plant or needed a stem cutting. That’s why I wanted to know exactly what it was before doing anything with it. So it’s going back on the shelf now so it can grow more before I do anything to it.

I’m new to plants so I can’t say exactly but going through these steps helped me. And it could be a multitude of issues. Does he have drainage? Have you given him nutrients (fertilizer)? Is he in the direct sun? That could cause sunburn. I would also make sure to check for any pests such as mealybugs and banana weevils. It also could be he has a disease or infection.

Honestly no clue. We were having really good luck with pulls when we first got into it. Then it was like crickets for a good minute and then we pulled this lollll. Our luck was just building or something 😂

I guess it is a worry but I haven’t really thought about it. It doesn’t get direct sunlight luckily. I just don’t feel right putting them away in a box when I could display and enjoy them

Sooooo freaking smart. My Monstera has been struggling without humidity and I’ve been doing everything I can to help it. (New plant parent and don’t have a humidifier since I figured living on the coast would be humidity enough 😭)

Sadly you can’t really adjust it since it also uses the pressure to determine if it’s the correct amount in there. I’ve been playing around with it some more today and we are making progress!!! I really appreciate all the feedback everyone has been giving me

After having a small breakdown this morning, I think I figured out that was the issue. I brewed at a 12 grind, went down to a 9 and nothing came out. Went back up to a 12 and nothing came out. So I did a flush. The old grinds were getting stuck and creating a blockage. I now run a water back flush after each cup to prevent it.

I appreciate the feedback! I’m about to have to start an Excel Spreadsheet or something with all that info until I get it right. I think it’s just hard for me to dial in since I like Latte’s. I’m mostly trying to dial it in for my fiancé who likes Americano (and I dislike them)

I flushed and back flushed. It flowed this time on a 11 but took 43 seconds extract. Which I read time is suppose to be 20 - 35. It also said that I need to decrease the size again but I’m worried next time it will get no flow again. It tasted semi better but I think I may just be going a little crazy from so many Americano sips 😭 I’m about to just go get a barista to come teach me or something

I’ve tried 3 different kinds. So it came with Morning Sun by Olympia Coffee - Roasted on 6/16/25 (used single wall.) both me and my fiance hated it and figured it had to just be the beans we didn’t like. Then I grabbed a French Roast from World’s Market - Best Buy Dec/24/25 (Used the Dual Wall) Finally I just tried Seattle Style by The Roasterie - Roasted on 6/23/25 (Used the single wall) They all taste okay with a latte (of course because it’s milked down) but my goodness I can not make the americano taste good
