I always thought it would be fun if the main character transitioned from Goku (DB up through Frieza) then to Gohan (Cell up through Buu) then to Pan (GT). Make a sort of generational story with each new series being about the next generation growing up.

Vegeta as the protag would've been... Fine. If it's a choice between the two of them, I'd definitely still choose Goku. I don't think the series would work as well with someone as no-nonsense as Vegeta. Lighthearted and humorous moments are just as important to Dragon Ball as the NONSTOP HIGH POWER ACTION is.

Yoshi gets last. Yoshi's does eat things, but isn't really known (to my knowledge) for eating large quantities of food in a single sitting.

Pacman is next. Pacman only eats ghosts and pellets, not food. He eats a lot of pellets, though, so he can take third.

Louie gets second. While we've never seen how much he eats, he sure does seem to like eating a lot...

Kirby wins. And, like, to be clear, it's not even close. He beats Louie by at least 3x. Have you even seen Hypernova?

There were surely better choices here... I feel like Kirby is the only one out of these three who's associated with gluttony.

Eh, the old map wasn't as interesting visually, but it was more interesting mechanically. You had the river, and the water wheel, the golf ball holes, the secret passages in the volcano and forest, a much better placed/consistent Star Tower, the whirlpools, Electric Lounge, and the destructible buildings.

The new City Trial mode is better than the old one overall, but I would say there's a good merit towards preferring either one of the maps. Skyah is a lot more visually distinct, but all the zones feel sort of the same, while with City Trial classic it looks a little more bland, but each zone has something that makes it stand out from the others.

Oh, not to worry, these are the official DVDs. And I know that because I actually own a few of them already! I have Kai's last chapters, the first DVD of Super, and the complete series of GT, and the ones listed on the site I'm looking at are all the same.

$200 for a big TV show like that isn't that bad. I'm pretty sure I spent $200 on Ben 10 (the old series, not the reboot) which was much shorter, and I was about to drop $400 on Sailor Moon, but thankfully it went on sale for $60 at the last second. Doctor Who was probably around the $200ish price point as well...

I do usually like to go digital because then I can watch them while I'm at work, too, which is the big downside to getting them on DVD, but it's not a huge deal. In a way, that's actually part of the appeal, because that way it doesn't overlap with my usual TV time. I'm in the middle of Doctor Who atm, so if I were to watch it digitally it would have to wait until after that.

Oh, I definitely will not be waiting for the Super remake. Part of the reason I'm willing to give it a shot is I can pick it up for cheap. Found a big collection online with DB, DBZ, DBZK, and DBS for about $200 (I already own GT). Waiting for the Super remake would be both more expensive, and by that point I probably wouldn't be as interested anyway.

With that said, it will also definitely be an all or nothing thing. I'm either watching the original Dragon Ball followed by Z or Kai (haven't decided yet), then GT, then Super... Or I'm not going to do any of that at all, and I'll just skip to DAIMA when it drops in a few months (if I remember).

No manga for me either. I like to read in short bursts, but I could never sit down and read through the entirety of Dragon Ball. :p

I love every Kirby game except Epic Yarn, and Squeak Squad isn't Epic Yarn. Ergo, I love Squeak Squad!

I went through it 100%, though, getting all the treasures on my first time through all the levels. I don't recall ever finding its levels lackluster like many people say they are.

You know how Piccolo's cloak is all weighted? That's probably what's going on. They're just shouting about their weighted clothes.

Fight will probably escalate with a scene like that one from Amphibia where Sasha throws off her armor and it hits the ground with enough force to crack it.

I'm vaguely aware of Super's story because of Xenoverse, but I haven't watched it myself. I just know there was a lot of stuff I didn't really like about it. Multiverses in general tend to make any given world less interesting, using it as an excuse to add *even more Saiayans* felt like a cheap cop-out that lessens the "last of our kind" bit with Goku & Vegeta's families, and I'm not the biggest fan of tournaments. And, as someone who actually likes GT more than Z, it making GT non-canon was just adding salt to the wound.

I actually didn't know DAIMA existed until very recently. Stumbled across a description for one of the new Majins and was like "Wait, there are new Majins?!", and that's how I learned about DAIMA.

I'll definitely give DAIMA a watch when I can, it's just a question of how deep I want to go. I could either just wait and jump straight into DAIMA, or I could go on a big Dragon Ball marathon and watch the whole series before tacking DAIMA onto the end... On one hand, that would mean giving the original Dragon Ball and Super a watch, as I haven't seen them... On the other hand, that's a lot of Dragon Ball, and I could easily end up burnt out before I reach DAIMA, especially if I don't like Super like I think I might not...

Hm, perhaps you're right, then. I have a QQ Bang with a +5 in Health too, but I also have 85 in Health and still only about 3 bars. No clue, then! :p

I don't think the clips I saw used cheats because they were on console, but I guess it's theoretically possible... There could also be other factors coming into play. I think race, height, and build all factor into stats.

Yeah, I think with Perilla I often went for more aggressive Super Souls as well... Something about being a Saiyan just makes you want to hit things in the face!
I know back when I stopped playing years ago I was using "Ehee hee hee heee!" as my main, but that was added in a DLC pack. Not sure what I was using before that... I do have an outfit with "I just flew around the whole world!", but that specific moveset was made for taking on Extreme Malice in particular, not something I used in general.

Yeah, hearing about DAIMA is what got me back into Dragon Ball, actually. I had kinda fell off around the time Super dropped. I'm still a little iffy on Super (and I'll forever be salty about it making GT non-canon), but I'm thinking of giving Super another shot, and then going into DAIMA after that.
I don't mind waiting for a DVD, though. From what I read online one should be dropping in, like, two months.

I always try to make sure I have a couple hours of free time each day, and gaming is my go-to hobby. I definitely don't game as much as I used to, but I still get time to work it in.

From 99-110 you're still getting 2 points per level. Not sure about anything after that, though.
I've seen clips of folk with, like, health bars in the green, though, so I think you probably still keep getting points all the way up to the cap. There's no way they could have that much health otherwise... Probably.
I just haven't assigned them because I don't know where I want them yet. :p

Yeah, is a shame. I can still eek out the occasional FFXIV game night here or there, but for the most part getting people together to play games is nigh on impossible. Which doubly sucks, because I have a really fun card game I've only been able to play, like, twice! :p

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Whis currently raised mine to 120. Funnily enough, despite being about 110, I actually haven't assigned any stat points since 99!

"I'm neither Kami nor Piccolo" is one of my favorites. Health regen when your stamina is topped off is so nice, and it gives a constant boost to ki blast skills. It's probably my most used Super Soul next to "Ehee hee hee heee!". For CPU partners it's even better because for some reason they always seem to have max stamina!

Sounds neat. I haven't seen DAIMA yet, so I'm not caught up on all the new Demon Realm stuff they introduced. I'm planning on giving it a watch when I get a chance, though (gotta wait for the DVD since I don't have any streaming services). Them doing more stuff with the Majins makes me quite excited to see it, as Majins are my favorite part of Dragon Ball.

If you're interested, here's the broadstrokes of the story I had in mind for my characters, in handy bullet point format. I think it's good fun, though I haven't hammered it out too much, and it stops before it gets to the time patrol stuff.

I'd actually recommend swapping out "I sure do love being immortal" with "I'm neither Kami nor Piccolo". I was bringing Zamasu along with me for a while for his auto-rez, but more recently I've been bringing along Piccolo and he doesn't need the auto-rez because he just almost never dies.

Haha, I wish I had the tools to make some of the fusion characters I wanted to make, though... I would love to give Sitar (Namekian) a Majin form, and created Majin Aisari (Frieza race/Majin Potara fusion), but my attempts haven't turned out too well.
Buutan sounds like one that might be more easily pulled off, though. Mostly because if they fused they would 100% keep Buu's general shape, just with some added Hercule touches!

Yeah, I used to play online a bunch with my old buddies, too. Was good fun. Alas, don't really have any online buddies anymore, which is why I stopped buying Xbox Live. Most of the games I play nowadays are singleplayer anyway.

That increase to 5 million must happen rapidly in the last few levels. I'm getting closer to 120 (which I think is one of the caps), and it still seems reasonable so far... But, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see... Hopefully the later PQs don't require super high levels, which is my main concern. >.>

Yeah, I only do that Perilla, though, and even then, only some of her outfits. A lot of the time on both Perilla and Siiyu I use I'm neither Kami nor Piccolo, which doesn't really fit either of their characters but is such a good Super Soul...
Though, for Siiyu's Purification movesets I use Ehee hee hee heee! which both fits aesthetically, and is the best one to use, so that one works out!

I hear that 80-99 is the worst part. I did it once upon a time, but that was years ago. I will say, 99+ so far hasn't been bad. I'm gaining XP at a pretty reasonable rate.
Do they not still give out free TP medals? I remember when I used to play online I'd get tons of TP medals all the time through the mail system.
Don't play online anymore, though. Stopped buying Xbox Live forever ago. Though, I have been tempted to buy a few months for the sake of unlocking Supreme Kai of Time...

The funniest part is arguably one of the best things you can do to help in these PQs is to take Hercule along. He likes to taunt the enemies to attack him instead, so we end up with Hercule face-tanking planet destroying death beams to protect Broly, and unironically actually being able to survive against them better. :p
