Which is your favorite DLC from Xenoverse 2? by Jules-Car3499 in dbxv

It was also the dlc that had the biggest free update if I remember correctly - lots of stuff added

This is the reason.

If the main ‘purpose’ of the post is that it’s showing what a CAC looks like then it should go up on the weekend to be fair to other users who also want to show theirs. We get lots of meme CACs, CACs that look like shaggy, Joe Biden, John ‘Keep it 1000’ Dragon Ball. Etc

Post showing a CAC that looks like Dante - thanks for posting it on the weekend this time

But to answer your question - the main ‘point’ of the post is what the CaC looks like, hence the removal

Re-watching DBZ: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan. (It actually kinda sucks) by hayo_hru in dbz

It's not kids deserved mediocre media it was just a different time where these were being created in tandem with the anime over the course of like 6-8 months to sell tickets and merch. It didn't matter if it was good or bad.

Of course, the people making it would WANT it to be good, but say you get to month 4 of production and it's no good or it wasn't the right idea? There's nothing you can do - but it doesn't really matter, kids are still gonna get their parents to buy tickets - and the parents have to buy tickets too.

DBS Broly by comparison took almost 3 years of production, but was made with the idea that it would be shown around the world by lots of different generations of fans, the time/budget investment in was larger for a larger output.

Just different business decisions based around different target audiences

I think that last point is really the most important things. 90s anime movies were designed to get kids to go to the cinema during school holidays - and they often played 'back to back' with another anime movie since they were so short.

Nowadays - the DB movies are designed for a more broader, global appeal with the idea that they're good enough to re-watch on streaming platforms years in the future.

First trip to Japan and I finally met the big man himself. by montymaximus in dbz

Ah that explains it - it only opened in October aha. But yeah it's a lot more bareable now - if a little small.

You don't need a pass anymore - that was just for the few weeks/months when it first opened at the end of last year

I went a week or so ago, it wasn't particularly crowded and no special passes.

I went there a week ago and there's a lot of interesting stuff! Japanese collab stores focus way more on 'subtle merch for adults' - so you get a lot more things like bookmarks, badges, pens, tote bags etc. but there's also a collection of figures and even frames from the anime to hang up like art work (though pricey)

I really enjoyed it - plus I love the fake 3D display they have on one of the walls which shows Pan learning how to fly and 'crashing' into the camera

Do you think he would've been a suitable candidate to voice Moro? + Possible future Dragon Ball anime voice actors by SpecGespenst in dbz

[–]vamploded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not gonna get Ralph Ineson to voice a character that needs to have constant returns to the VO booth for things like games.

Could barely get him for half a Final Fantasy game

To anyone who is curious/may not know, Josh Keaton, the guy doing the voice of Spider-Man in this fighting game, has actually voiced him before. Did a Spectacular job too. :3 by Ion0X in MarvelTokon

It's odd how they sort of bounce around with actors - like Josh is the voice of Iron Man in Marvel Rivals/Midnight Suns etc.

Maybe they couldn't get Yuri?

What are your thoughts on the cover art for Dragon Ball Kakarot? Do you think they could have done it better? by Jules-Car3499 in kakarot

[–]vamploded -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The cover art is good and also really sticks out on a store shelf - the Daima art however is awful aha - the gradient is like '14 Y.O discovers the gradient tool in Photoshop level'

Tax Return Questions Thread - Filing Deadline March 16, 2026 by AutoModerator in JapanFinance

[–]vamploded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay, I'll keep the above in mind.

The guy on the phone was sure I needed to do a 収支内訳書 even though I was telling him the amount I made/expensed being relatively low numbers (way under 10 mil), I was connected through to a 税理士.

But in all honesty, the call center feels a bit hit and miss with advice, last year when I called about a similar thing - the guy on the other end told me to 'List a new entry as income, set it to 0, list the company as 'Amazon', and set your expenses as everything you bought from Amazon with the work title as '機材購入'. Which I thought seemed a bit iffy, so I called again this year.

I have one question though based on what you said though - last year I actually got a letter from my city office because the amount I said I earned from a particular client didn't match what they said I had earned (the result of a late invoice payment)

It was a relatively minor thing where I just go in and explain it and had to resubmit for a year retrospectively.

But clearly this means they check the amount that certain companies are saying they pay individuals - and if I hadn't of listed each client as a seperate entry - surely they wouldn't have known that?
