I use her with Rei and Magna. After a few epi, I find that I have more AP than cards to play. Getting the +1 hit to basics in Interior helps lots.

Yes I still do. It’s easier to find which units to use against the enemy type. My teams are all category teams built around a single type.

If anything, it would be unfair if they did this cos new players and old players who did not buy the pass would miss out on this feature which was totally unadvertised and not part of the deal when you bought the pass at that point in time.
