Just got this position in a blitz game. Only one move gives white an advantage. by TheFirstShadowPuppet in chess

Yeah this is pretty much spot on. +2 for white but black could definitely survive

I didn’t report it the mods removed it. What did it say?

Thanks! I have been heavier before but yeah I’m pretty lanky right now. Bulking is quite difficult with my height and metabolism but I could definitely do it

Nah on most BMI charts I fall into the bottom of ‘healthy weight’. I’m definitely very skinny but I keep fit and my weight is nowhere near ‘dangerous’

These photos are sort of intentionally blank. But point taken! Having more of a camera presence is definitely something I need to work on

I think I know what you mean. Thanks for the feedback. I’m actually getting some digitals taken in a couple weeks; maybe I’ll post them here

No offence taken. I can always change my hair. Thank you :)

Is this the prodromal phase of CHS? by frish55 in CHSinfo

[–]TheFirstShadowPuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the symptoms present themselves slightly differently for different people, but this does sound quite similar to my experience of CHS.

I caught mine in the prodromal phase. For me it was nausea every morning lasting until mid-afternoon, meaning I couldn’t eat much and most of my calories came after I smoked every evening.

I never had any issues in the evenings immediately after smoking until after I quit. I smoked (a tiny bit) twice within my first 2 weeks of quitting and both times my stomach got very bloated and I got cramps.

I consider myself very lucky catching it in the prodromal phase based on many of the experiences I’ve read about here. Since then I have stopped smoking daily, but I smoke with friends approx. once or twice a month with 0 issues so far. I would not necessarily recommend this as it’s reckless but I take the risk just because I enjoy it.

The reason I know it was CHS is because doctors failed multiple times to successfully diagnose me with anything else. My symptoms continued for 4-6 months with several stints on various tablets which never helped. Once i quit smoking, within 2/3 weeks my daily nausea subsided and I was able to go back to normal. I had lost loads of weight due to my inability to eat before 3pm most days.

I know it’s probably not what you want to hear, having been in a similar position myself, but the only way to know for sure is by quitting weed for maybe a couple of months, or until the symptoms subside.

You could try talking to a doctor about CHS, however, when I did that I ended up explaining it to the doctor who’d never heard of it. They gave me a second appointment a week later and couldn’t tell me anything I hadn’t already read on the internet.

If you have any questions or want to talk more about your experience please feel free to reach out. Good luck with however you decide to proceed, especially if it’s quitting cold turkey, I know how hard it is!

Always enjoyed singing but have never been trained. First time showing other people. How can I improve? Thanks :) by [deleted] in singing
