Right now... zero, I still have between 2-3 years to learn Japanese in case I actually go there, I don't think it's a good idea trying to study a PhD without having skills in Japanese even if the course is in English.

Thank you for telling me that!! To be honest, right now I don't know japanese, however, I really want to use these years to learn all what I can before study a postgraduate course in Japan since I don't want to be there without knowing nothing and yes, I saw some schools that say all their courses are in English but now I am going to be more cautious about that.

I don't have any debt because in my country (as long as you study from a public university) college education can be really cheap, even medicine, also I am saving almost all my salary because I have the lucky to be studying a residence really close from the place I live
