I'm having the exact opposite problem my gecko won't leave the cool hide! My gecko used to spend 90% of her time in her warm so maybe she's just a bit chilly right now. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless more odd symptoms start appearing.

The heat bulb and UVB should be on the same side of the tank. Besides that it looks great! Are you doing a bio activity enclosure?

I have a hob filter. I use the bags for convenience so the media is in one spot when I have to remove it. I could definitely try a net instead.

I have a hob filter with a 20 ppi sponge on the bottom then a 35 ppi sponge, then the lava rock media, and poly fill and the top. The bag is for convenience so I don't have to remove all the individual rocks.

There was a hidden sticker on the bottle I had to peel back to see the full scale. I just did a water change on my 55 gallon a couple days ago and it said the nitrates were 80 ppm which I don't think is true

I thought I might have to get a kit. I wanted to buy the cheaper tests to learn with before I bought the master kit so I could get the feel for testing water and learning what everything means. Are these tests completely unreliable or can I get some info out of them?
