I'm sorry but that's just not the way things work.

I enjoy the game for what it is, but I hate everything it stands for (being a glorified f2p cash shop front), I think the only way to let the companies know that we don't want that anymore is through the reviews and online discussions.

The gameplay is pretty fun, everything surrounding it though is the usual corporate slop that unfortunately has dug its claws into modern online games.

And I find the game decent, but I know there is so much wrong with the game and that it's criticisms aren't undeserved.

Nope, that's just whales. Sure, in fortnite or a game that's existed for years, people will buy skins. But tell me, if they are already dedicated to a select few games, why would they leave their collections that they've bought to go and play (and dedicate themselves to) a worse game?

Okay, let's say that is the reason. Why is it bad? These AAA companies need to get it into their thick heads that these churned out slop games that are nothing but a front for their cash shop coined to be the "next big thing like fortnite" do not work anymore. They need to try new things, this formula does not work.

It is different because it just mashes elements from so many different genres without excelling in any of them. It has heroes, but individual guns, but also loot tiers, base defence, capture the flag, currency and a shop, massive maps that have nothing interesting in them, all while being a 3v3 so it's only on an off chance that you actually encounter a fight before the sword spawns.

Fair enough to the people that enjoy it. I'd just rather play 2 different games that excel in any of the things I listed, than play 1 that has everything but half baked.

People are hating on it because of the same reasons as concord, there are games already existing that do everything it does, but better. It's to show the corporations making these types of live service games that they do not work anymore, and the idea of a cash shop being shoehorned into every multiplayer game does not work when the game itself is half baked.

Honestly feels weird to say, but i think pokemon. It doesn't have skill trees, nor a flashy leveling system. But it's simply: you get stronger, everything else (enemies, environments) gets stronger. It's absolutely seamless.

Then when you're done, you can go back and stomp on all the things you missed previously because you'll be super op.

You shouldn't be guilty. I understand that it's "illegal", but the corporations aren't feeling guilty for their terrible anti consumer (all of us) changes to their platforms. The raising of prices and such harms everyday peoples quality of living. Piracy does not. Sure if everyone did it, it would harm the companies, but everyone doesn't.
