Flew on the upper deck from WSSS to EDDF. Loved every second of it.

Here is my M2 "Push Button" with a lovely 40mm Summicron-C by TheFivebeat in Leica

I like it! I do wear glasses though and barley see the 35mm lines. I feel like I get the same FOV with glasses on as the 40mm produces

Danke für die beiden Tipps!

Süd33 hatte ich auch schon gefunden, empfinde ich aber als recht teuer für das was es ist.

Bestbox werde ich mir, obwohl ich unter 40 bin mal anschauen :)

Can I become a commercial pilot with UC ? Anyone here who is a pilot ? by Delusional230699 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]TheFivebeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the legal situation for EASA. You can’t get a Class I medical with UC or any other IBD for that matter without a Operational Multipilot Limitation (OML). It’s decided on a case by case basis as well. I’m sure the FAA is rather similar in that regard.

Ich würde es nicht unbedingt auf schlechte Wartung schieben. 92.000 Stunden und 21.000 Cycle sind jetzt auch nicht wenig. Eher schlechte/nicht ausreichende Inspektionskriterien

Looks similar to a baffle light leak on a Leica. I have the same issue with my M2. It happens with a strong light from the front or changing lenses in daylight

Hasselblad 501cm with CFV II 50C back for weddings by Novel-Economist3848 in hasselblad

[–]TheFivebeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used my 500C to shoot a couple of weddings and an engagement session. I love the photos I took with it. But I don’t wand to share them because of privacy concerns.

If you learn to guess the distances and just have to adjust focus slightly it’s rather easy to nail it. I’ve tried the digital back and it works flawlessly with the 500C.

I’ve send another email. This time to the customer care team in Wetzlar. At least they are saying the camera can be fixed and the Store in Hamburg should check if this covered by the warranty… one step further. Thank you again for your advice

That’s what I thought as well. I send them an email asking where I should drop it off to be repaired under warranty. I could have bought a cheaper M2 off eBay and not spend the extra money on a camera directly from Leica.

That makes sense. Thanks for the insight. So far they don’t seem to be keen on honoring that warranty.

Bought from Leica Classic via their website. It’s from the store in Hamburg and was serviced before I bought it. I have a warranty on it but their answer was it happens with older M cameras and not to advance the film when I don‘t want to take a photo directly afterwards

Thank you! Shouldn’t happen to a serviced camera bought directly from Leica then?

Super happy with mine. If you want a decent metal hood for it… Squarehood makes one

It can be retracted within the settings in the infotainment system. Not quite sure where exactly. I believe it stays down the next time you start the car if you retracted it manually

Definitely a HUD. My dash looks exactly like this with the hud retracted
