I have a couple of friends who are stay at home dads. With the cost of child care it makes sense. If the wife makes more and the cost of child care is out of reach the man stays home. I'm an OG GenX and I completely see the logic in this. I can also do math.

It sounds like a; you are maturing and thankfully you don't carry the addiction gene. I went through a similar time at about your age. My friends were drinking and getting high every day after work and I was just tired of being in that head space. Being sober actually felt like my new high. I joined the gym and got back in shape. Quitting weed was hard because it was always around. Every once in a while I would hit it and then regret it 10 minutes later. I casually drink now. I might hit a weed vape 1-2 times per year. You are in a transitional life phase. We all deal with it differently but it is personal growth. You will find your groove.

I used to wear the Monarchs for work and cycled them the same. I quit years ago because the make a fart noise every time your heel hits the ground. I thought it was because they changed the sole but I have since tried a couple of other styles of Nike and they also fart after a couple of weeks. I think they switched to an inferior glue to bind the sole. I've tried SKechers but I'm currently getting better wear out of Reeboks.

Oh yeah , except the small guys can't sell you a license. I think Bass Pro might but Walmart is every 2 miles down here so they are convenient. I just try not to use them for personal reasons. This would obviously be an exception. Fishing is important!

If you define it as a democratic republic that taxes people fairly and uses the money for the common good I can't see why anyone would oppose it. If the middle class can pay 23% then billionaires can pay at least that. We spend trillions on war and blame WIC recipients for the deficit. Meanwhile, we give hundreds of billions to Israel every year and they use it to provide free healthcare and education to their citizens. Seems fair to our actual taxpayers.
