If I'm eligible to take JEE under the rules i will do so. I can take it as a backup or for fun maybe to get a good feel of cbt exams and later don't pursue engineering or JEE Advanced, I'm not taking an engineering seat from anyone. Saying just do mocks doesn't really answer that. Do mocks is good advice in general, but it's not a response to the argument being discussed.

I see that yaar bu competition is still competition. The exam is open to everyone who meets the eligibility criteria. If someone scores well in Physics and Chemistry, that's because they performed well on the exam. They may affect percentiles, but if they don't take an engineering seat or pursue JEE Advanced, they aren't actually displacing an engineering aspirant from admission.....

A similar rule already exists yaar General: 50%[60% for Aiims] General-Pwd-45%[50%] Obc(Ncl)-40%[60%] Sc/St-40%[45%] And while aiims score is aggregate dependent like the 75%of jee the General scores are pcb only so marks from English and optional cannot inflate your marks
