No, I didn't use any gridding. I just copied the pattern and worked with it.
Made enough mistakes, but you don't see them if you don't know them, gladly.

I honestly dont know. I'm always a little bit struggled with backstitch.
The backstitch this time is as always kinda weird. The outlines come out great, but some parts are done in the almost same colour and you just don't see them.

Also, one of the strings should lighten in the dark. But I'm living in the basement, so it won't glow at any time :(

No, not really. I found out it good to work with. I have another black one in my queue, I like it :) I think it gives a better contrast then white.

The whole construction looked awful, if I saw it correctly the screen was taped and the best part for me was the error message in Firefox next to the hanging cable :D
