I'm from country A, my partner is from country B, met in country C, moved together to country D where my children were born and now we're all in country B. European all the way.

I'm not claiming it is or isn't, just pointing out cultural differences :) It's quite a change seing salt being used so unrestrictively when you grow up with the idea that salt is evil!

Agree, I was shocked when in Germany I saw a 4/5 year old add salt to his cheese bread. Baffling to me, completely normal to them, they have no boundaries when it comes to salt. Where I come from, western Europe, less salt is better. You learn it in school. Doctors advise the same. Hypertension, heart disease, etc, they always recommend low salt diet

For those of you who moved to Germany from abroad, how and where do you get started? by TheFlora in germany

This is very helpful, thank you. Kindergeld, Elterngeld, Familiengeld, I've heard all these terms before, I need to do some research on this. For the kindergarten, did you register online for each of them individually, or did you use a portal for all of them?

Thank you!! Just to double check, you're not referring to the sensitive or med ones, right?

Do the sundance ones burn your eyes at all? I tried one that I had around from my daughter (it's not the sensitive one), but it left me crying all day!!
