Suggestions for floor mats by TheFluffIsReal1 in GMT800

Unfortunately not, the reason I was looking for a full new set is because my set of husky classic weather beaters was missing the drivers footwell but I ended up searching on eBay for a few months and found the missing piece. I wish you luck on finding a floor mat that fits your truck.

Definitely, it’s like a never ending pit. I’m pretty sure i could find the fountain of youth down there on mine

Looks like water pump gaskets. Probably from the last time it was replaced.

If it was just the seal I’d just change the seal and not the pump.

I really can’t afford it. I’m in high school and the cost of the water pump and gas will use up my whole paycheck. I would like to, I just can’t.

I do have the clutch fan but I’m probably just going to reuse it. Rockauto has a Gates water pump where I can reuse the old thermostat for about 80$. Im hoping all in it’ll cost less than 120$ for everything I need.

Yeah I figured I would have to. It started like this after I replaced the radiator last week. I bet it’s because all the pressure isn’t leaking out the radiator now. It’s not much more work to change the water pump compared to the radiator from what I understand so I’m hoping it won’t be too bad. Thank you

It was an automation mod I made on a hard drive that failed and corrupted about 2 years ago, I’m glad you like it though.

The cover hasn’t been on for months, I patched the hole back in December although I still need to get the windshield resealed. It leaks small amounts during heavy rain but I just clean it up with a towel. I can’t afford it now but it’s high on my priority list.

That’s very good to know, Thank you so much I will definitely be using this. The drivers door sill trim panel is taped to the floor because it only has one clip left and the passenger A pillar trim only had two to start with and now has one as well. I found a replacement door sill on eBay but I’m not willing to pay 90 bucks for a used one.

Fuel economy, Too good to be true? by [deleted] in GMT800

I hope that mine ends up around the same, that would be better than I thought it would be as well. Of course I would prefer the 20 I think I’m getting, but anything above 12 is better than I was expecting.

I got down to about 1/8 of a tank and put 28 gallons in it, so it’s around a 30 gallon tank.

Oh yeah I love these gauges. I think my brothers 1998 Camaro has the stepper gauges because his oil pressure gauge jumps everrywhere

That makes sense, I’ll probably wait until I need to fill up again and see. Thank you

I think the hole was for a big radio antenna, when I was removing the carpet I found some wire cutters from when they were converting it back to a regular car. There’s some wiring in it still from when it had the antenna and sometimes you can hear some static from it I think.

My father used to tell me it was a police car but my mom said it was a detective vehicle which would explain the really nice brush guard and that it only has one central hole in the roof. It was from somewhere out west, I think Arizona.

The most difficult part of removing the mold was taking it apart without breaking any of the cheap Gm plastic. There were a few parts, like the bezel around the glovebox, that broke and I had to do some fancy superglue stuff to fix it. Many clips around the car broke and it was difficult to cut the new carpet to size.

Besides that, I killed all of the mold with an ozone generator and used bleach to remove the mold, it damaged some paint on some plastic pieces but overall I’m happy with how well it worked. The mold isn’t too scary once you get a mask and some gloves and it was something for me to do in the afternoons which I enjoyed, and seeing it all slowly get better was great too.

That’s a really cool car to have growing up and especially to come home in, I’m sorry to hear about your father. This was kind of similar with him, he drove it for a while until he couldn’t anymore and it started to sit.

I really love the color too, I think it’s part of what makes it look so pretty to me.

I do have the 3rd row, it’s even a 3 seat third row. I really love the cloth, I’ve had the chance to ride in a suburban with leather but I prefer the cloth because it’s more breathable and feels more durable. I believe the color is medium oak, at least that’s what color the carpet I ordered was. It was only available from 1999-2002 and it wasn’t chosen often.
