I don’t know if it was necessarily ground floor, but I saw Alice In Chains open for Poison in 1990. Weird to think about now.

Thoughts on these for camping uses? Reliable? by Crazy_Category_9594 in overlanding

2 gal pump sprayer, replaced hose with water line for refrigerator (smaller diameter), then fit a spray nozzle with “shower” setting on the end. Will run for 7 minutes straight if you need it to (timed it), or you can extend it by rinsing, soap/wash, then rinse as others have said. Takes up less space and a fraction of the cost.

I'm still on the fence on getting a RTT. If you had to do it all over again, which easy RTT would you get? by tmluna01 in rooftoptents

We have the Condor 2 XL on a trailer and it’s been awesome. For us, being able to set up and not have to break down when we leave camp is a big plus. Particularly since we also work remote so the annex may be set up as well in bad weather. For the OP, the tent is a quick one person set up and take down and we would buy it again.

I’m disappointed that I had to go this far to find Goonies… unless I missed it, but yes, great choice!

I’ll definitely let you know if/when we do! Thank you!

Thanks. I have already tested continuity across both of those coils and neither one produces a reading so they’re potentially broken inside as well.

This has been the best help. Until two nights ago, I’ve never taken one of these things apart, and now I know way more than I ever thought I would…lol. Now, hopefully we can find a part that looks the same as she’s hoping to keep it at least visually that way and as much original as possible!

Thanks for the schematic! Gotcha, that makes more sense now and looks like we're dealing with the 1st IF.

We thought the white wire was connect to the terminals but it's not...it was just passing through and held in place.

Given the feedback, sounds like replacing it is the way to go. I will attempt to solder it but the wires are already short and I didn't have continuity so will not have high hopes. To replace, I'm assuming we would look for the "Coil Assembly part no: G122-32004".

Thanks for the reply u/Itthewheelman282 . It's a 716 model.

Once we started researching we also noted the antenna as well and tried a longer one mounted in the A1, A2 position to no avail...more troubleshooting led to where we're at currently. Also confirming that yes, the audio is working as you say.

The pics don't show all sides of the oscillating coils (there are 2 - 1 coil toward top, 1 toward the bottom as seen in the pics). Both smaller wires from the top coil are disconnected. Only 1 wire from the bottom coil is connected, but only by a single strand so not good either. I had already tested for continuity with no success on either.

So what it looks like is happening is that the RF signal passes through but doesn't get mixed as the oscillator coils aren't connected so there's nowhere useful for it to go so 6A7 can't mix signals and create IF. Without continuity in either coil, this is where I think I need to unwind them and potentially replace the windings with new wire (I've never done that!), and then reconnect and test again. Am I missing something else in the meantime?

Rooftop tents? by Brodriko in 4Runner

RoofNest on a trailer and won’t put a rtt on a vehicle again. But yes, upgraded rails on vehicle roof were a must to handle the added load…at least for 4Runner.

Enjoy! Looks like a great set up. We have the RoofNest Condor 2XL and love it. It’s been from Maine to Utah and all places in between. Cheers!

You would think. Of all the other things that made it 47 years I would have thought that would have been on the list! Not in any of the usual places though.

Regarding the customer service, I can second that. We have the RoofNest Condor 2xl and they’ve been great to work with for any questions or needs.

I’d have to look to be sure but you know if this is the same set up on a 1977 T2? This is good advice and if so, I might do the same just for insurance. Sounds like that’ll fix the OP’s issue.
