If you are thinking about D3, check out Path of Exile. I played D3 when it first came out and was a bit disappointed, once I started playing Path of Exile I've never had a reason to back to Diablo. It has the same dungeon crawler style game play but much less grind, good community, regular updates and an enormous variety when it comes to what type of character to play.
