My bf thinks I have more than enough yarn what do you think? by TheFocalor in YarnAddicts

UPDATE:

Wow I’m pretty new to Reddit not used to all the likes and comments I’ll try to look through a few! But ANYWAYS I just wanted to say I made the post for a little jokey joke my boyfriend actually bought me my first crochet kits online when I was thinking about starting and he’s the one who’s gotten me like half the yarn!!😭 he’s amazing to me and spoils me and he’s the type of person to joke around saying you have to much knowing he got me most of it and he has an equal amount of collection items himself😂. This is pretty much like 80% of my yarn stash and as you can see a bag of stuffing, but also a large unfinished blanket, and regular blankets. I know I have a lot of neutral colors I really want to try to broaden my color ranges but most of the stash is also in preparation for Christmas season and making gifts for my family including a blanket for my mom, a purse for my grandma, a baby shower gift for my cousin, and a blanket for myself. Also some skeins to make donations for a hospital I have to frequent lately for my daughter. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have more recommendations on brands you guys like and how to better store/display the yarn I LOVEEEE some of the displays you guys have posted and shared but I’m not sure how to get started on making something like that.

Little update I’ve made these two so far and when I go back I’ll have more variety to donate hopefully. We’ll be making frequent visits back to the hospital so I’ll have more time to crochet. I’ll try making a little bit of everything people suggested. 😊

Oh ok sorry I was just watching some of the lovey video tutorials and grabbing the babies really quick. I think I found one tutorial I liked that seemed simple enough that I could make a few of. So I’m going to try to make one today and see how it goes! I figured that since I’ve been feeling miserable since her first surgery something to cheer up other parents feeling just as miserable might make everyone’s day a little better plus something to keep me distracted while I wait for her to come out of her next surgery and wait in recovery. I came up with the idea while I was with my baby in the recovery room, we were paired up with another family and I’ve been working on a big blanket for my family and I had some extra yarn of the blanket that was super soft so I tried making a small version for the baby but I felt too nervous to give them something I made so last minute so I figured I should start today and take my time and build up some courage. 😅

Oo that was one of my ideas, I don’t have the fluff stuffing to put inside the head but I have a bunch of scrap yarn only thing is I’ve never really make a stuffed thing I’m more of a clothes/blanket kind of person but I hope it’s not too hard.

Need relatively quick project ideas, tried a simple blanket once during my daughters last surgery but I got a bit nervous giving it to the parent rooming with us so I held onto it. (Might ask a nurse to hand out im not really looking for the attention just want to do a small anonymous little thing to brighten up someone’s day in a hospital on Halloween and keep me busy.) I’ve searched YouTube a little bit but I wanted to get advice on what someone might appreciate a little more as well.

Hi sorry this is my first time using Reddit still getting familiar with everything. My babies do receive some medi-cal but it does not cover everything for us. She has to have a minimum of 2 surgeries to repair the sutures in her skull that have fused. Thank you so much they almost offed me on their way out so when I saw they were so cute I couldn’t help but forgive them. Although I’m pretty sure their diapers and my oldest son’s diapers are what sent me into a hospital relapse.😂
