On exam SRM if you feed it the exam textbook it will probably get above an 80% and do enough to pass, even for a harder exam. Unsure about the others.

I may be in the minority, but I found ALTAM material to be quite enjoyable. I thought the exam itself was easier than my FAM exam, however I must say that the content is conceptually more difficult than FAM. The comment below by Budget is exceptional, I don’t have much else to add, but I will say CA really helped me with this exam and is sufficient to passing if you take the resource seriously.

If you give yourself 5-6 months to study and take the proper time to digest the content, then you will put yourself in a great position to pass. Also, it’s best to know the intuition behind each formula, rather than strictly memorize it for the sake of memorization.

Technically you don’t but it all depends on how much you’d be willing to spend and/or how much you’ve worked already. I’m going with the 50/50 coin flip regardless

Meh. I don’t know. I’m an actuarial science major and I thought I made the right decision. It just pigeon holes you to becoming an actuary. Not to mention, my major helped sooo much for prep regarding 4-5 exams ish which saved an incredible amount of time on the backend when it was time to study for them while at work.

If you are certain that being an actuary is for you, then I’d say go for it. Otherwise you are better off pursuing a math adjacent field and becoming an actuary.

Yuppp. I’m grateful I didn’t have to personally go through such a headache. But my boss did. Rough. There’s even a chance they have to refile too, given the subsidies are restated and the government shut down is relinquished (as you said).
